Job Description

Your day to day

To maximize room revenues and achieve target room night sales for the hotel by identifying new business opportunities, converting inquiries and optimizing existing accounts.

  • Liaise closely with the Reservations, Sales Administrator and Sales Executives for lead generation and potential business opportunities.
  • Ensure that all personal accountabilities and deadlines set in the Business Plan are met
  • Participate in industry trade shows, events and promotions as required.
  • Maintain professional business confidentiality.
  • Conduct site inspections
  • Conduct a minimum of sales calls per week in accordance with the business plan.
  • Cold calling to secure new business sales calls/appointments
  • Telemarketing
  • Communicate and follow through with hotel departments to ensure that the sales commitment is being fulfilled
  • Assist with market intelligence and information gathering of benefit to the hotel.
  • Achievement of budget revenue
  • Acquisition of key accounts
  • All client requests are followed up on and responded to within same business day.
  • Assigned projects are completed within designated timeframes
  • Efficient communication platform is consistently maintained
  • Maintains an ‘executive presence’ and uphold high professional standards in all dealings.
  • Reports, presentations and other administrative duties are consistently on a high standard What we need from you Experience
  • Previous experience within a hotel sales environment in an internationally recognized hotel chain at managerial level for at least 3 to 5 years within the Qatar market.
  • Current/previous responsibility for key accounts and new business generation in premium markets.
  • Track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Existing corporate accounts in the Qatar market.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage own and others tasks through to conclusion.
  • Ability to lead presentations, conduct effective negotiations and close deals. Technical
  • Competent Word, Excel, PowerPoint and software packages
  • High proficiency in English language oral and written skills
  • Highly organized, able to coordinate the efforts of others and manage multiple assignments and projects.
  • Knowledge of hotel PMS (HIS, Opera) and other industry-related software programs. Personal Attributes
