Department Profile

The Faculty Affairs Department invites applications for the position of Administrative Assistant, Faculty Affairs. Reporting to the Academic Manager, the Administrative Assistant must be a proven leader with the skills and expertise necessary to support the Faculty Affairs Department in fully implementing the University’s mission and vision.

Duties & Responsibilities

This position requires an energetic and enthusiastic individual who will provide administrative and office support to the Academic Manager, as well as to the overall Department to facilitate day-to-day operations of the Department and support the effective and efficient functioning of the Department.

The candidate should have good administrative experience working within a busy office environment. Responsibilities include providing an efficient secretarial and administrative support to the Academic Manager and employees of the Department. Managing inbound and outbound calls, by answering and screening calls accordingly, managing office supplies, inventories, and checking stock. Scheduling and coordinating meetings as required. Transcribing and preparing minutes as requested by the Manager.

The candidate will also be responsible for preparing documents, reports, emails and memos, and will support the Department in collecting and analyzing data. Responsibilities will also include coordinating with outsourced travel agents regarding travel requests and performing general clerical duties such as photocopying, faxing and mailing as requested by the Manager.


Education and Certifications:

A Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree


Minimum 2 years of experience in Administrative Support is required


Strong Excel skills required

Fluency in written and spoken the English language is required

Bilingual in English and Arabic is preferable
