Job Summary

Reporting to the Qatar Branch Manager, the Account Manager is expected to manage key Bank and IFA distribution partners at a local level to promote the organizations’ propositions and to steer the business to deliver results. Ensure retention of existing portfolio, drive opportunities for growth and improvements of service delivery.

This role will be based in Doha, Qatar.

Job Accountabilities

  • Build, develop and manage relationships with key partners to promote Zurich, its propositions and range of products.
  • Identify opportunities and steer business to deliver results.
  • Demonstrate a high level of product knowledge and understanding of how the Bank and IFA Distribution Partner business works.
  • Understand local regulatory responsibilities and advise Bank and IFA Distribution Partners.
  • Monitor performance of key partners against set expectations, identify performance gaps, define actions or make recommendations to the organizations’ leadership.
  • Demonstrate deep knowledge and understanding of the company’s’ internal control functions, risk and compliance policies.
  • Coordinate regularly with other BUs with regards to partners’ expectations or performance.

Job Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Technical Degree (or equivalent) and 5 or more years of experience in Bank and IFA distribution.
  • Advance sales, relationship management and presentation skills.
  • Experienced in Insurance, Legal and Regulatory environment.
  • Ability to manage own personal development and encourage others to do the same.
  • Technical Knowledge – understand the features / benefits and unique selling points of products in context with background knowledge relating to the market.
  • Flexibility to changing environment.
  • Strong drive to achieve target and deliver results whilst committed to demonstrate corporate values.
  • Well-knowledgeable of different sales and distribution channels.
