You‘ll make an impact by:

  • Lead and oversee the engineering team responsible for the project.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members, ensuring the successful execution of project deliverables.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with project objectives and milestones.
  • Manage customer expectations and communicate effectively with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices in cybersecurity and OT security.
  • Mentor and coach team members to foster their professional development and growth.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Execute sizable EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) jobs for brownfield oil and gas projects, leveraging expertise in cybersecurity and OT security.
  • Clarify requirements with the customer and ensure obtaining design approvals from the customer.
  • Coordinate the design amongst the packages and the offshore engineering as applicable to the scope.
  • Ensure timely completion of design, procurement specifications, and order awards.
  • Ensure compliance of actual costs with the budget.
  • Provide feedback and lessons learned.
  • In addition, the following shall be specific tasks:
    • Consult with customers and management on technical and technological topics.
    • Analyze technical specifications, testing, and documentation requirements for projects, specifying necessary resources.
    • Prepare industry-specific solutions, engineering packages, concepts, and templates.
    • Manage a project team, providing coaching and development for junior team members.
    • Supervise commissioning of engineered solutions at customer sites.
    • Oversee implementation and integration of assigned engineering packages, utilizing project-specific software programming techniques.
    • Assess risks, propose appropriate countermeasures, and report to project management.
    • Identify and evaluate opportunities for increasing business opportunities.
    • Ensure compliance with standards, rules, and regulations.
    • Communicate and collaborate with Project Managers to improve project results.
    • Support the On-site Project Manager in preparing and executing monthly reviews of project status.
    • Prepare technical procurement conditions and documentation for substantiation and defense of claims.
    • Support the Administrator in compilation of project and customer documentation.
    • Learn from and share experiences with others.

Your success is grounded in

Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred field: Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation Systems, or Information Technology IT/OT Engineering. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in ICS/SIS Systems and Cybersecurity, with a focus on OT security.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in OT security.
  • Valid certification in OT security (e.g., CISSP, GICSP, OSCP).

Professional Experience:

  • Knowledge of Shell Design and Engineering Practices (Shell DEPs), Oil & Gas engineering practices, applicable specifications, codes, and international standards.
  • Familiarity with the Oil and Gas industry and its specific cybersecurity challenges.
  • Demonstrated experience in executing sizable EPC jobs for brownfield Oil and Gas projects, preferred in Qatar, or Middle East.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • > 10 years professional experience in large EPC projects.
  • > 8 years professional experience in engineering and execution of contracts.
  • > 3 years professional experience in leading engineering teams of > 10 individuals.
