About The Role
We are recruiting for Manager of Production Engineering to be based in Doha, Qatar.
In this role of Manager Production Engineering, you will plan, manage and control the functioning of the section in compliance with relevant regulations and procedures in a cost-effective manner. This includes and is not limited to rationalizing the documentation provided to production for executing their tasks, besides providing plans to update the existing system and procedures.
Specific Responsibilities Of The Role Include
Ensures to research and recommend induction of new tools and application to ensure compliance. Liaise with OEMS to be informed and implement latest tools for improvements.
Develops and ensure compliance with the company procedures relevant to the section.
Monitor and develop plans to align with expansion and improvement strategy of the department ensuring timely execution of activities pertaining to the section.
Reviews and approves where necessary the proposed Maintenance Tasks Operating plans (MTOP) relating to the Qatar Airways fleet. Ensure that such MTOP are making effective use of the material, human resources and ground time.
Ensures that appropriate task instructions are developed while keeping in view the Human Factors, safety criticality and complexity of the tasks: based upon Aircraft Maintenance Program, Engineering documents and any other approved documents which requires production to accomplish maintenance.
Ensures that through technical evaluation of instruction documents are carried out and necessary pre requisites like required ground time, aircraft configuration, man-hours are defined and updated in TRAX.
Ensures thorough evaluation is carried out during development of instruction documents to include time for preparation and access as suitable for the task.
Ensures review of the feedback from certifying staff with respect to task instructions, MH, Sequences and take appropriate action to incorporate such feedback.
Monitors and controls the correlation between engineering documents and OEM technical documents.
Ensures that all maintenance task cards are defined properly in TRAX in terms of legislations, technical details, linkage to controls and controlled in a proper manner.
Performs other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department
The successful candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:
Without a Degree: High school Qualification/Vocational Qualification/ Diploma or Equivalent (Type of Diploma based on Role) with minimum 9 years of job-related experience.
With a Degree: Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 8 years of job-related experience.
Excellent Project Management skills.
Aircraft Type Courses.
Experience in engineering activities of producing documents and OEM communications.
Experience In TRAX Functions, Mainly TRAXDOC And Engineering.
Completed Management training and assigned role specific courses.
Aeronautical regulations (Part M and Part 145) preferred to have additional Quality Assurance relevant training.
Specialized training in MPD and AMP
Good Analytical skills.
Good knowledge of aircraft and approved data.
