Scope: Primary, Middle, and High School / Whole school Leadership Team
Reporting to: Head of School
To fill this role effectively, the successful candidate will need to have a diverse range of qualities, competencies, and experience. A Director of Learning, Analytics, and Innovation should be a versatile, inspiring, and forward-thinking educator. S/He should be an exceptional professional who will provide exemplary collaborative leadership, inspirational knowledge, and engaging interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will model the ISL Qatar mission, values, and beliefs in action as a member of various teams across the school, particularly in terms of international-mindedness and intercultural understanding.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills:
The school prefers people who:
Possess a minimum of three years as Director of Teaching and Learning, Assistant Head, Head of Section, Principal, Curriculum Coordinator, Data/Assessment Coordinator, Instructional Coach, Professional Development Trainer and/or other related leadership positions.
Hold teaching and leadership qualifications, preferably a masters’ degree or licensure in leadership, curriculum, instruction, data analysis or related field.
Possess IB teaching and leadership experience.
Demonstrate vision and ability to lead professional learning communities (PLCs) to successfully promote student-centred learning.
Execute a progressive vision of well-rounded professional learning systems with special attention to effectively leading and leveraging job-embedded, daily learning opportunities.
Demonstrate vision and ability to lead collection, analysis, and planning with learning data; experience with and/or vision to initiate a learning analytics dashboard to curate data and lead educational staff in using data to inform instruction.
Demonstrate successful experience with the recruitment, supervision, development, and retention of teachers, instructional coaches, and other educational staff.
Possess the ability to motivate and inspire others to innovate, pilot and incubate new methods and projects with potential meaningful learning impact within the scope of the school’s mission and strategic directions.
Possess international experience and/or experience working in a diverse, multicultural environment.
Exemplify excellent interpersonal skills with proven experience of fostering a positive school spirit amongst students, staff, and the wider community.
Display ability to collaboratively innovate, implement and effectively sustain change initiatives.
Possess professional working proficiency in spoken and written English.
The purpose of this role is to provide highly effective collaborative leadership to support whole school operations and the continuous development of teacher identities as learners and best practice in the classroom. S/He implements the school vision in an inspiring, innovative fashion and ensures that a clear direction for school development is understood and adhered to by all member of the ISL Qatar staff.
S/He is jointly accountable for ensuring that teaching and learning inspire high levels of engagement, achievement, and progress in students of all abilities. S/He oversees developing an effective model of continuous practice improvement for professional faculty to develop consistent, high-quality practice from Early Childhood to Grade 12.

Have experience of implementing and leading collaborative change in international schools.
Be innovative and creative in applying current research as to how children and adults learn and develop best.
Have extensive experience of international curriculum developments, programmes of study and assessment methods and be innovative and creative in applying them in practice.
Have an innovative and creative approach to international school leadership based on best current practice.
Have the ability of generating, managing and leading a busy calendar of student and professional learning processes and events.
Have the ability to lead data analysis to inform evidence-based improvement practices.
Have an excellent command of spoken and written English.
