An exciting opportunity to join new projects with a leading Oil & Gas Operator based in Qatar. They are looking for Lead of Rotating Equipment (CO2 Sequestration Project). The role is an initial 3 year contract working 6 days per week / 10 hours per day and will be based in Qatar.

Day rate, accommodation & transportation allowances and economy class flights provided.

Job Purpose

  • Lead the implementation of high-level technical expertise in Rotating equipment engineering, requiring analytical, interpretative and constructive thinking with a significant degree of evaluative judgement, to ensure the highest level of engineering integrity and reliability, and safety and environmental compliance.
  • Oversee Rotating Equipment engineering during FEED phase and future EPC phase, in covering all aspects of design to ensure technical objectives are met within the approved scope, budget and schedule.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Knowledge And/or Experience

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience working in the field of rotating equipment for Concept/FEED/EPC stage in the oil and gas industry with exposure to onshore gas processing facilities in the greenfield and brownfield projects. Should have handled multi-megawatt Centrifugal compressors at a Lead engineer level. Should have in-depth knowledge and understanding of rotating equipment including auxiliaries and controls based on industry best practices. Should have the ability to introduce new concepts to ensure maximum reliability and availability of all rotating equipment in the early design stage. CO2 sequestration Project experience is an added advantage
  • Should have experience in leading the development of conceptual and detailed design, sizing & selection, economics, and business cases for rotating equipment in particular for large duty Centrifugal compressors.
