Role Objective

The Treasury Sales Manager will be responsible for delivering Treasury products to the bank’s customers and manage business performance, profitability, customer acquisition, management and retention of customers in line with the internal policies and regulatory guidelines, and work closely with the Department Head – Treasury Sales to achieve the department’s objectives. Ensure achievement of set targets/ objectives, business growth and expansion of the Treasury Sales function. Supervise and provide guidance to Senior Sales Officers in efficient execution of their day-to-day tasks

Role Responsibilities

  • Lead initiatives to widen Doha Bank’s product suite and be a leading bank in Qatar offering treasury solutions to customers in FX, Interest Rates, Derivatives and Investment solutions.
  • Ensure effective coverage of key treasury relationships with the best services and solutions.
  • Contribute to the team’s foray into online execution brokerage business which will include equities, FX, fixed income and derivatives.
  • Align Treasury Sales initiatives and business plans with the overall corporate objectives / Treasury and Investments framework.
  • Develop and maintain robust working relationships with internal/external stakeholders to facilitate functional / operational/ strategic needs.
  • Actively manage treasury relationships and drive FX flows sales and generate revenue for the bank through the banks corporate as well as retail business.
  • Provide regular market updates to clients on currencies, interest rates and financial markets in general.
  • Responsible for deposit acquisition from new and existing relationships in coordination with stakeholders in relationship teams in wholesale & international banking.
  • Ensure achievement of sales targets assigned to the team, ensuring all performance standards are met in terms of the business targets, controls, compliance, and quality standards.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor Degree is mandatory.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience required
  • Experience in FX, Interest Rates, Derivatives Sales
  • Knowledge of the financial markets
  • Knowledge on new international best market practice and global and regional trends
  • Knowledge of QCB/Regulatory/Governance framework/guidelines
