One of our clients based in Doha is urgently looking to hire an enthusiastic, HR Manager with responsibility for the day-to-day running of overall HR functions across the Qatar Office as a Strategic HR leader.
The ideal candidate will support the full scope of Human Resources responsibilities and partner with the organization on strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Take an active role within the Senior Management Teams and act as a strategic partner to implement the people strategy to support business growth
- Liaise with Corporate HR to develop and implement a local HR strategy in line with our global strategy, policies and processes
- Develop and implement lean and reliable HR processes for the full employee life cycle
- Support and advice on all aspects of employee relations issues as required
- Handle any disciplinary processes and formal grievances
- Manage payroll and employee benefits
- Carry out all HR administration, reporting and analytics
- Coordinate with the Business Managers and Scheduling Center on staffing requirements, new hire availability, qualifications, and current/future demand
- Identify staffing trends as well as identify future needs for the local office and keep in loop business partners for the future manpower requirements.
- Administer leaves of absence, Employee and/or Labor Relations activity, and disciplinary actions; Implementing Customer transitions; Workers Compensation management, Unemployment claims management, and employee records changes in HRIS; benefits administration.
- Liaison and assist PRO department in case of any, Labor Department, Immigration any other government- department-related issues.
- Work with managers to ensure they maximize all opportunities and use all tools available for employee retention and development
- Ensure compliance with company HR policies and applicable federal, state, and local laws
- Take complaints concerning discrimination, sexual harassment, and workplace harassment; lead and/or assist with investigations; provide guidance and support for supervision concerning employee relations and disciplinary action
- Identify, in coordination with the welfare department identify opportunities for employee retention and development.
- Lead welfare department for staff welfare standards compliance.
- Ensure that employee appraisals are conducted correctly and in compliance with the annual schedule
- Ensure that managers are engaged in Performance Management with their employees
- Affirmative Action Program compliance and planning; oversight of all recruiting, selection, and placement processes; implement corrective actions as needed
- Ensure overall contract compliance regarding employee basic and preferred qualifications, screening, training, and licensing
- Administer Safety Program; semi-annual review and revise the security Emergency Response plan; monitors compliance with regulatory and fire prevention requirements and safety items
- Can assist Tender-Sales Team with new business in terms of HR Costing and budgeting
- Prepare Weekly, Monthly, and Yearly HR KPI’S
- Prepare Annual HR Action Plan and budgeting
- Strong Liaison with Group and regional management in the preparation of monthly, and yearly KPIs and Internal and External audits.
- Responsible for Company Internal and external /third-party HR audits.
Qualifications and Skills
- 10-15 years’ experience in managing a wide range of employee relations issues
- Study MBA (or equivalent), ideally with focus on Human Resources
- Qualified to a minimum of CIPD level 5 or preferably level 7
- Experience in delivery of modern people services and change management
- Proven experience in employment law, social insurance and tax
- Proficiency with modern HR information systems
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to network at various levels
- Energetic and focused personality with a demonstrated ability to take initiative, successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing assignments and effectively manage deadlines
- Professional, articulate, and able to use good independent judgment and discretion
- Ability to successfully interact at all levels of the organization while functioning as a team player
- Must be able to concentrate on details, work under deadline pressures, apply sound logic and judgment, and prioritize tasks and responsibilities
- Must be able to focus and multi-task in a busy environment, with the ability to successfully handle stressful situations in a calm and professional manner. Includes being able to effectively manage multiple interactions with diverse personalities and engage them to perform at optimum levels
