(Some Of) What You Will Be Doing

  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the F&B department
  • Provide detailed financial reports to management, highlighting key performance indicators and trends.
  • Monitor budget variances and collaborate with department heads to address any discrepancies.
  • Implement and maintain effective cost control measures to optimize the financial performance of the F&B operations.
  • Conduct regular reviews of expenses, identifying areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure cost-effective sourcing of F&B supplies
  • Assist in the development of annual budgets for the F&B department.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations during the budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Monitor budget performance and work with department heads to address deviations.
  • Manage and forecast cash flows for the F&B operations.
  • Ensure timely payments to suppliers and accurate recording of all financial transactions.
  • Implement cash handling and reconciliation procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial audits.
  • Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations and adapt policies accordingly.
  • Lead a team of accounting professionals within the F&B finance department.
  • Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to ensure a high level of performance
  • Foster a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
  • Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making within the F&B department.
  • Evaluate the financial impact of new initiatives and projects.
  • Provide insights on pricing strategies and revenue optimization.
  • Maintain relationships with F&B suppliers and negotiate favorable terms
  • Review and validate supplier invoices and statements.

Attitude matters most but do you have any of these?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience as an accountant, preferably in the hospitality or F&B industry.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
