Art Box Art studio is looking for models to pose for figure drawings in our 3hr figure drawing workshops, 2-3 session a week.

Figure drawing model is to pose as a subject for artists to draw, paint or sculpt. You’ll be fully clothed, costumes are welcome too. You’ll be posing for short and extended periods of time providing a range of gestures showing possibly muscles, angles shape and drapery of cloth.

Skills needed:

• Study poses such as kneeling, Reclining, Seated and Standing.
• Physical stamina to stand and pose for long periods of time.
• Listening skills to take direction from an instructor or feedback after a job.
• Creativity to come up with poses and vary positions.
• Confidence to be comfortable in front of others.

Protocols during our figure drawing workshops:

• A relaxed and friendly atmosphere, focusing on the study of human art form and acceptance of all figures.
• Closed art classes where only the model, artists and an instructor are present for privacy and comfort.
• A hands-free zone where models are not touched, whether in a classroom or one-on-one session.
• No commentary about a model’s body or features and no criticism of an artist’s work.
• A quiet and focused session with little talking, aside from posing guidance or other class instructions.
