University of Doha for Science and Technology – Student Engagement Division is inviting nominations and applications for the position of Student Development Specialist. Reporting to the Supervisor, Student Life, the Student Development Specialist must possess the skills and expertise necessary to support the Student Engagement Division of the University and fully implementing UDST’s mission and vision.

Duties & Responsibilities:

This position requires an energetic and enthusiastic individual who will serve as the primary case manager and investigator for alleged violations of the Student Code of Conduct, including sanction recommendations as appropriate to be in alignment with UDST’s overall objectives.

The successful candidate should have an outstanding record of industry experience in Student Engagement and possess the qualifications necessary to be successful in the role of Student Development Specialist.

The incumbent will research, develop and deliver a variety of student enrichment programs with a creative approach to increase student participation and overall student experience while also coordinating the logistical arrangements of student enrichment activities and events, including scheduling, marketing and purchasing to ensure successful outcomes.

The successful candidate will develop and maintain partnerships with institutions related to student development to support consistent membership and an active program.

The successful candidate will investigate and coordinate student conduct case and train/supervise student workers and will also maintain comprehensive documentation in the UDST database system; monitor student compliance with disciplinary sanctions and manage misconduct cases.

The successful candidate will design, implement, and evaluate programming and resource materials in multiple areas of student conduct as well as publications and marketing materials that promote community standards, commitment to ethics, codes of conduct, and related procedures.

The incumbent will develop and present relevant training programs for faculty, staff, and students.

The successful candidate will evaluate programs and make recommendations on the student conduct process. Additionally, will create and maintain an assessment plan to measure student learning outcomes.

The successful candidate will support the work and initiatives of the Student’s Council to encourage leadership development and improve student engagement.

The successful candidate will support the student enrichment activities and events ensuring successful outcomes and serve as back up for student life team and support Supervisor, Student Life.


Education and Certifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized, accredited institution.


Minimum 5 Years Relevant Experience


Fluency in written and spoken the English language is required.

Fluency in written and spoken the Arabic language is preferred.
