Your Tasks

  • The objective Job Holder is required to provide support in terms of coordinating the work to conduct a Holistic Risk Assessment for the North Field Offshore Pipelines and Marine activities by considering all current assets and future expansions and developments, increase in marine traffic interaction frequency with each other and offshore pipelines during operation phase.
  • The Risk Assessment and QRA will be conducted by a nominated third-party consultant. This Job Holder will be the initial point of contact and is required to provide support as a minimum in following areas:
  • Liaison with internal and external stakeholders
  • Providing all the required information to the study consultant
  • Coordinating, managing, and participating in all the technical meetings and workshops
  • Consultant Management – Commercial, Scheduling, Contractual Aspects, logistics support etc.
  • Interface coordination with all Asset Operators
  • Lead in defining approach, strategy, assumptions, Risk Acceptance Criteria, and other applicable inputs required.
  • Lead in developing Charter (scope, boundaries, approach)
  • Consultant Management
  • Facilitate technical resolution meetings.
  • Lead study documents review and facilitating to ensure deliverables are approved by all applicable
  • Asset Operators and internal & external stakeholders.
  • Updates and presentations to internal and external stakeholders
  • Major challenges are (1) establishing and maintaining alignment with Operations organizations and (2) ensure safe and reliable operations in a cost-effective way by providing sufficient technical information and guidance to influence others to take sound risk based decisions.
  • Covers multiple locations with different requirements and priorities e.g., onshore, offshore, projects, etc.
  • Work requires analytical, interpretative, and constructive thinking, with a significant degree of evaluative/professional judgment.
  • Works in accordance with Company policies, and procedures, and understanding of relevant industry and international standards.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering(Chemical/ Mechanical).
  • 10 years’ experience in loss prevention and technical safety in the oil and gas industry, especially in process safety, and risk assessment/studies.
  • Special emphasis is placed on good understanding and sufficient experience with both qualitative & quantitative risk assessment techniques and defining Risk Acceptance Criteria (especially for Offshore facilities, subsea pipelines, and Single Point Mooring (SPM) Facilities).
  • Understanding of Offshore Operations, Subsurface, SPMs, Marine and Pipelines
  • Experience in work coordination, liaison, and interface management
  • Understanding of Pipelines characteristics, routes, bathymetric profiles, AIS Data, Ship, and anchors characteristics
  • Independent, able to work under minimum supervision.
  • Ability to work under tight timelines in sometimes high-pressure situations.
  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office, hazard identification software’s (e.g., PHAPro), consequence modelling and Risk assessment software (e.g., PHAST, Safeti), or other software (e.g., BowTie)
  • Very good knowledge or written and spoken English with ability to produce procedures, technical reports, and present them to various level of audience.
  • Good organizational, communication, and work management Skills
