The Four Seasons Resort and Residences at The Pearl-Qatar is looking for The Housekeeping Manager. The person we seek will be a passionate and motivated leader, with excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills. A demonstrated ability to lead a multicultural team is essential, as is solid business acumen and a passion for service. Strong training and supervisory skills are essential in this role. Good written and spoken English skills and computer proficiency with MS Excel and Word is mandatory in this role.

Essential Functions

  • Demonstrate a strong leadership presence for our guests, employees and suppliers
  • Ensure the smooth daily operation of the Housekeeping departments
  • Maintain a strong working relationship with our outsourced companies who are responsible for cleaning all guest rooms and public areas
  • Achieve high standards of cleanliness, by working closely with outsourced teams and our internal supervisors
  • Liaise with engineering, our off -site laundry and front office departments to deliver optimum performance and collaboration
  • Oversee stock control and inventory including sourcing new products, suppliers and keeping up to date with trends. Assures that there are sufficient supplies on the guest floors. Checks cleanliness of guest corridors, stairwells, elevators and Linen Closets
  • Manage a team of Room Attendants and House Attendants responsible for the cleaning and upkeep of a specific area of the hotel, conduct interviews, train and schedule staff accordingly, conducts Performance Evaluations and disciplines staff when needed, monitor Room Attendant’s daily progress, inspects completed rooms to assure that all standards have been met, coordinates work orders and assures that there are sufficient supplies on guest
  • Schedules assignments to be completed daily and collects room and floor status sheets for assigned work areas.
  • Monitors each Room Attendant’s daily progress. Inspects completed rooms to assure that all standards have been met. When standards have been missed, brings employees back to room and effectively coaches.
  • Coordinates work orders and follows up to be sure work is completed. Releases checkout rooms to be sold.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • Degree Holder, preferably in hotel & tourism management
  • 2-4 years of experience in related field
  • Excellent command of English, and Arabic is an advantage
  • Luxury experience in Hotels and Resorts
