As Marketing Manager, working with us entails the following:

  • Working closely with the Communications Director, digital team and digital marketing agency, The Ned Marketing and Partnerships manager will be responsible for defining and implementing the overall marketing strategy across the property
  • Set the brief for the design of all on and offline marketing material, ensuring consistency of message between all consumer touchpoints
  • Lead the development and creation of all marketing materials and collateral, ensuring brand alignment across the business
  • Define the social media strategy, as well as the creation, curation and commission of enticing and arresting social media content for The Ned including photos, videos, and copy
  • Monitor and engage in conversations across social channels (specifically Twitter & Instagram) with influencers and customers to ensure high engagement
  • Work with the Communications Director and digital marketing agency to set budgets and targets for acquisition and retention plans spanning Social Media, Email/CRM, SEO and PPC
  • Working with the digital team and digital marketing agency to optimise the website, run A/B tests and manage homepage content
  • Use Google Analytics and Social Insight tools to prepare regular performance reports, circulated to the wider business
  • Work with the other businesses within SH and Sydell Groups in order to maximise exposure across their networks and channels
  • Translate the commercial strategies of the business into digital marketing activity. They will be responsible for defining and implementing the overall digital marketing strategy, identifying opportunities to drive sales digitally
  • Act as the first point of contact for all digital requests across the company, and will be expected to manage their own workflow, prioritising tasks to ensure all tasks are delivered on-time and to a high standard
  • Work with the Managing Director, Communications Director, Director of Revenue and digital marketing agency 80 Days to set budgets and targets for acquisition and retention plans spanning Social Media, Email/CRM, SEO and PPC
  • Work with the digital team and digital marketing agency to plan the digital roadmap, optimise the website, run A/B tests and manage website content via the CMS system
  • Manage digital agency 80 Days, reviewing their performance and setting them goals
  • Support in the development and ongoing optimisation for the Ned’s Club App and Ned’s Club portal
  • Play a major role in enhancing brand awareness within the digital space as well as driving website traffic and acquiring leads/customers
  • Plan and execute marketing database initiatives and digital advertising campaigns where relevant
  • Use Google Analytics and Social Insight tools to measure and report on the performance of the website, digital marketing channels and campaigns, assessing against goals
  • Lead the development and creation of digital marketing materials and collateral, ensuring brand alignment across the business
  • Understand The Ned’s tone of voice and implement it across all platforms
  • Any reasonable requests from Senior Management / Directors
  • To lead the day-to-day management of all partnerships, sponsored events and product placement at The Ned with the support and consultation of the Soho House Partnerships Director (SHPD)
  • Work with the SHPD on all Soho House partnerships that have been extended to The Ned: Woodford, Jack Daniels, Bombay Sapphire, Net-A-Porter / Mr Porter and Perrier-Jouet
  • Curate proposal for new partnerships for The Ned which support the needs of the business and our brand pillars including, for example, Food and drink, Fashion, Art, Architecture and design, Wellness, Entertainment and Heritage
  • Approach agreed brands to meet and discuss partnership opportunities, creating a creative partnership proposal with brand benefits and fees if a promising meeting
  • Secure brand commitment, brief relevant teams, invoice brand partners and manage all agreed partnership activity
  • Act as brand guardian across the company – spotting any opportunities, incorrect use of the brand (names spelt correctly etc.), conflicts or competitor activity
  • Assist partners on The Ned hospitality requests such as restaurant & rooms
  • Work with the events manager to ensure attendance at all brands supported events
  • Manage Member Perks by working with the membership team to discover, shortlist and confirm benefits and discount for Ned’s Club members which cover a range of categories and interests such as fashion and beauty, fitness, travel, electronics, interiors etc.
  • Consider and respond to all partner inquiries received internally, via members or LinkedIn
  • Support membership with Board member events or offers, if support is required from brands

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as Marketing Manager in a luxury environment, preferably a hotel or any hospitality company
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in marketing, business, or related field
  • Proven success in developing marketing plans and campaigns
  • Proven success in designing interactive applications and networking platforms
  • Vast knowledge of financial planning and strategy, marketing concepts, and sales planning
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing including web analytics metrics and tools
  • Proficient with marketing-related software programs
  • Proficient with online marketing and social media strategy
  • Established contacts in the media
  • Up to date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement
  • Effective communication skills and adaptable communication style for interacting with team members, upper management, and clients
  • Excellent time management and organization skills for planning and executing both large and small marketing projects and initiatives
  • Articulate, confident communicator at all levels both with colleagues and clients
  • Strong leadership skills to motivate team members and manage conflicts
  • A team player who understands the importance of building close professional relationships and demonstrates a high degree of emotional intelligence
  • Well developed, logical thinker with the ability to exercise good judgment and solve problems quickly
