Job Purpose Summary:

  • Actively manage the client relationship/s on a day to day ensuring that Grey is addressing and exceeding client requirements and expectations while growing revenue and profitability from the account
  • Pivotal to the success of the client relationship/s, the Senior Account Manager operationally ensures that all jobs are completed to agreed schedules at the cost and quality level agreed between the agency and client
  • Keep client informed and updated on the progress of projects solving any problems that may emerge
  • Completely familiar with client/s business strategy and brand guidelines, the Senior Account Manager proactively seeks out further opportunities for Grey and the client to partner together

Responsibilities:

  • Actively manage the client relationship/s on a day to day basis with Group Account Director ensuring that Grey is addressing and exceeding client requirements and expectations while growing revenue and profitability from the account
  • Pivotal to the success of the client relationship/s, the Sr. Account Manager operationally ensures that all jobs are completed to agreed schedules at the cost and quality level agreed between the agency and client
  • Keep client informed and updated on the progress of projects solving any problems that may emerge
  • Completely familiar with client/s business strategy and brand guidelines, the Sr. Account Manager proactively seeks out further opportunities for Grey and the client to partner together
  • Unites a multi-disciplined team within the agency and across its suppliers to deliver the different tasks of a client project. Prepares well written precise briefs to inform and instruct different agency teams in creative, production and planning on client requirements providing them with relevant background information on consumers, markets and competitors
  • Responds effectively and promptly to any queries from within the agency or client, seeks approval where required. Escalates emerging issues and challenges quickly and professionally using all available channels of communications to ensure attention and prompt resolution
  • Establishes strong client relationships and secures client respect, demonstrates understanding of client’s business, market trends and appreciates their strategic direction ensuring that campaigns are suitably aligned across multiple touch points while adhering to client brand guidelines. Maintains day to day contact with client and displays good creative judgement adding value while ensuring that client needs are met at all times
  • Ensures that all work related to the implementation of communication projects meet client standards as outlined and agreed in client brief and instructions while staying true to Grey’s internal famously effective standards
  • Strong commercial and financial understanding enabling effective management of revenue and ensuring required profitability levels of every project. Understands Grey financial practices, hourly rates and stays fully informed of all aspects of every client agreement in portfolio. Ensures that WIP levels are strictly managed and invoices to clients are raised regularly and collected within agreed timescales
  • Creatively astute and able to recognise when an idea has potential to succeed across multiple touch points
  • Demonstrates strong creative judgement, continuously evaluating and ensuring that ideas are in accordance to client brief and possesses good judgement about original brand building creative ideas especially those that integrate across channels
  • Facilitates team work across agency and builds a ‘can do’ approach across agency teams working on client projects
  • Manage one or more Sr/Account Executives, effectively delegating, supervising and providing direction building team capability through coaching and development. Allocates tasks across the team and sets priorities ensuring that all members of the team are performing effectively

Requirements:

Qualifications and Languages:

  • Minimum first University degree level qualification
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Arabic speaking is a must.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years advertising Agency experience is non-negotiable
  • Sound understanding of marketing and advertising agency working
  • Experience in leading client relationships.
  • Credible project management experience ensuring deadlines are achieved adhering to budgetary requirements
  • Working knowledge of communication channels – advertising media, digital media, e marketing, mobile marketing, in store, events, promotions, direct and data marketing and Platforms.

Skills:

  • Financially astute, understands client business and able to spot opportunities for commercial advantage
  • Good interpersonal skills and sociable with people, self-motivated, demonstrates independence and self-initiative
  • Efficient computer and IT skills including use of key MS Office programmes, email and web applications
  • Well-organised with an eye for detail demonstrating strong spoken and written communication skills
  • Flexible and adaptable and good at problem-solving
