How a Land Mobile Radio (LMR) Technician Will Make an Impact:

• Performs installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications systems.
• Verifies services by testing circuits/equipment/alarms & identifying, correcting, or escalating problems.
• Leverages LMR shop operations & management experience from a large-scale LMR shop.
• Responds to emergency calls in the event of a system failure.
• Installs, removes, maintains, modifies, troubleshoots, & repairs telecommunication equipment, including running/pulling, terminating, and splicing cables; installing routers, switches, multiplexors, cable trays.
• Applies hands-on experience in maintenance/troubleshooting of Motorola & other LMR Equipment.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

• Education: High School Diploma/GED
• Required Experience: 1+ years of related experience
• Required Technical Skills: Must be qualified to install LMR base stations, repeaters, and mobile radios.
• Security Clearance Level: SECRET

• Communications consoles
• Repeaters
• XTS-5000 and other hand-held radios
• Trunked and non-trunked LMR systems
• Key loaders, antennas, multi-couplers, duplexers
• Test equipment (service monitors/system analyzers, oscilloscopes, multimeters, frequency counters, power meters, spectrum analyzer)
• Digital recording equipment
• OTAR keying equipment (Key management facility)
• Site controllers
• Location: On Customer Site
• US Citizenship Required – Clearance

• Years of Experience: 1+ years of related experience (may vary based on technical training, certification(s), or degree).
