About The Role

Qatar Airways are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to join our Flight Operations team as a Crew Hotels and Allowances Officer.

As a Crew Hotels & Allowances Officer, you will establish and maintain proper and timely coordination/ controls with all departments involved in the allowance process (form origin to payment instruction) in order to pay the crewmembers their variable allowances due in a timely manner. You will also be responsible for facilitating long-term outstation crew accommodation and airport transportation requirements at all QR layover destinations.

Specific Responsibilities For The Role Include

Efficiently manage and overlook the Crew member’s variable allowances computation for both Cabin crew and Flight deck crew.

  • Act as a link between Flight Operations, Cabin Services, Finance, HR, QR consultants, IT and the Management for discussions in allowance-related policies and their implementation. Replying to queries raised by crew and Management in regards to variable allowances payment.
  • Review and compute crew meal allowance rates based on feedback received from crew, for new station start-ups or hotel changes.
  • Analyze and monitor closely any change in long-term room requirements at a station in close coordination with the Crew planning team, Procurement department and the local station.
  • Coordinate hotel inspections for contract renewals and new requirements.
  • Review hotel inspection feedback and request for any additional information from the inspectors to prepare finalized shortlist for Procurement.

About you

The successful candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Relevant College or University qualification with a minimum of 4 years job-related experience.
  • Airline experience preferred either in Crewing, Logistics, Payroll or Finance.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office applications, with good knowledge of basic programming as well as good knowledge of presentation techniques {(i.e. MS Excel (models and tables), PowerPoint}.
  • Strong customer service orientation, organized, extremely detail-oriented and possess strong follow-up skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and organization skills and ability to work independently.
  • High level of customer service skills.
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English.
