Role Purpose:
To co-ordinate the financial accounting, general ledger, and fixed asset activities within the Financial Accounting & Treasury function. The role is responsible for statutory and financial reporting activity of consolidated and standalone entities within the group and maintaining the Group’s accounting procedures and policies. This position ensures the integrity of the financial system and its setup. The incumbent is a key liaison point for auditors and resolving audit queries and observations. The role collaborates with accountants, professionals, functions and management across the organization and its shareholders in fixed asset control, internal controls, ERP accounting system control and financial consolidation.
Qualifications / Experience Required:
- Graduate in Finance / Accounting / Commerce with professional qualification (CA, ACCA, ICAEW or CPA)
- Minimum 10 years experience of Financial Accounting & Management within a relevant industry (Steel, Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals or Heavy Industries)
- At least 5 years in a Senior Financial position managing multicultural, multinational teams
- Experience in Oracle or other reputable ERP systems
- High Standard of written and spoken English and well-developed report-writing ability
- Excellent knowledge of IFRS and accounting standards
