Job Summary
The Group Marketing And Communications Director is responsible for the planning, development, implementation, and measurement of all marketing strategies and marketing communications both internal and external. This includes directing the efforts of the marketing communications staff and coordinating at the strategic and tactical levels with the other functions of the organization. The position maintains an excellent working relationship with all key companies, departments, suppliers and agencies, as well as with all relevant staff support groups, while also entrusted with the necessary authority to accomplish the objectives while operating within established policies, procedures and ethics.
Job Responsibilities 1
Plans and implements the group marketing and communication strategy.
Cultivates and maintains relationships with media and influential professionals.
Coordinates with and manages the marketing teams as well as full commitment to client relations and customer satisfaction.
Defines and implements external and internal communications strategy to meet business objectives. Champions importance and best practice of communications to raise company’s profile and generate greater involvement in day-to-day affairs
Job Responsibilities 2
Ensures articulation of the group desired image and position, assure consistent communication of image and position throughout the Organization, and assure communication of image and position to all constituencies, both internal and external.
Develops short- and long-term plans and budgets for the group marketing and communications program and its activities, monitor progress, assure adherence and evaluate performance.
Collaborates with the business team (sales, product management and market development) to create and implement effective go to market strategies for new and existing products, systems, programs and services.
Directs market / customer research, forecasting, and competitive analysis to identify market opportunities and translate results into actionable insights for the business team.
Develops, implements and monitors systems and procedures necessary to the smooth operation of the group marketing and communications function.
Directs the development and execution of an integrated marketing and communications strategy that drives customer engagement and lead nurturing, while gathering and reporting meaningful data analytics for future decision making.
Spearhead the strategic and tactical execution of marketing and communications campaigns and activities, including advertising, public relations, events, promotions and sales tools. Implement performance metrics and tracking tools to measure results.
Leads the activities of the Marketing Communications Department, including managing department personnel, short-term and long-term scheduling, resource needs, and developing and managing the annual marketing budget.
Oversees integration, implementation, and measurement of the corporate brand strategy across all aspects of the business. Maximizes brand presence on various channels (e.g. web, TV, and social media)
Initiates, designs and manages events with the press, public, and associations according to the communication strategy.
Facilitates discussions on communications approaches or sensitive business initiatives with business heads.
Supports business heads in case of communication to media with the purpose of matching the business plan objectives.
Guards the corporate brand image and ensures brand consistency in all advertising efforts
Ensures that the marketing team always adheres to the highest ethical standards
Manages and maintains cost-efficient operations
Continuously develops a wide network and nurtures key contacts
Job Knowledge & Skills
Solid experience managing both Marketing and PR Campaigns
Familiarity with different social networks, and the latest trend in marketing/advertising
Strong industry network and contacts with journalists and members of the press
Polished presenter and adept at explaining PR and marketing terms and outcomes to senior players.
ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.
Job Experience
Minimum of 15 years of relevant work experience.
At least 10 years in a similar managerial role.
Atleast 5 years of GCC experience is preferred.

Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or any related field.
Professional degree in Master of Business Administration (MBA) or similar Graduate Degree.
