The Admission and Registration Directorate invites applications for the Assessment Specialist position.
Reporting to the Manager, Testing Centre, Admission and Registration Directorate, the successful candidate will assess test takers’ language proficiency through International English Language Testing System (IELTS), ensuring fair and accurate evaluation for academic and immigration purposes. The objective of this role is to help the University meet its business development and overall strategic objectives.
Duties & Responsibilities
The successful candidate will contribute to support the development and implementation of the Business Development and Marketing strategy for the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) at UDST. This involves gathering market intelligence, identifying potential clients and stakeholders, building strong relationships with them and achieving specific sales targets.
The successful candidate will Assist the IELTS Administrator with pre-test and post-test activities to ensure strict adherence to IELTS standards and policies, maintaining the credibility and reputation of the test at UDST. Simultaneously, conduct thorough evaluations of test takers’ English language proficiency using the IELTS test format, ensuring precise and impartial assessments that reflect their language abilities accurately.
The successful candidate will uphold the highest standards of test integrity during the IELTS examination process, strictly adhering to IELTS guidelines and policies at UDST. At the same time, provide customer service to candidates throughout their testing journey at UDST, by offering support, guidance, and a positive testing experience.
The successful candidate will contribute to the development and implementation of IELTS-related projects at UDST, actively participating in continuous process improvement to enhance the overall testing experience. And ensure strict compliance with IELTS standards at UDST, safeguarding the credibility and reputation of the test while maintaining quality assurance.
The successful candidate will record accurately, manage test results and candidate information in accordance with UDST’s data management procedures. Also, serve as a representative of UDST to external stakeholders during the IELTS examination process
The successful candidate will participate in examiner training and continuous professional development activities to enhance assessment expertise and stay updated on IELTS advancements. At the same time, ensure a conducive and organized testing environment for candidates, promoting a positive testing experience.
The successful candidate will maintain the security and confidentiality of test materials to safeguard the integrity of the IELTS examination at UDST. Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Education and Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree is required in Administration or related field
Master’s degree/Professional certification in a relevant field is preferred
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
Knowledge of IELTS policies and software is an advantage
Fluency in written and spoken English language is required.
Fluency in written and spoken Arabic language is preferred.
