Duties and Responsibilities:

To monitor material delivery requirements and expediate accordingly to ensure timely arrival of material on site and/or into stock.

Liaise with the commodity inspectors (Ministry of Environment, Civil Defense, and others) to ensure a prompt release of ORYX GTL Commodities.

Liaise with the warehouse regarding lock down and quantities available on off tanks to align with customer contractual shipment dates.

In consultation with the Logistics and Procurement depending on the complexity of the issue, appropriate decision shall be made to reduce exposure on later deliveries of materials.

The position will initiate the process for a decision to be made in its role as a liaison; must rely on other contributing factors from the Senior Buyer and end users to make a final decision for which it is fully accountable in expediting materials.

Proposes exclusion on non-compliant vendors to the Logistics Coordinator, the decision is made by the Head of Procurement with input from the Senior Buyer and the Logistics team.

Ensure supply chain processes and procedures are in line with transferred goods to ensure minimal delays regarding final delivery – Produce and analyze delivery status reports.

Monitor vendors performance from a delivery aspect to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of the same.

Follow up on the insurance claims with the respective external parties to ensure ORYX GTL’s financial rights are safeguarded.

Liaise with end users, vendors and all responsible to ensure material discrepancies are cleared on time.

Adhere to service level agreements with various departments to ensure an effective communication and compliance with their respective needs.

Follow-up the activities with the freight forwarders to collect and dispatch materials in a satisfactory manner.

Job Specific Skills:

Arabic Language literacy is a must.
Expediting / Communication.

Sound knowledge of INCO terms and their relative worldwide interpretations.

SAP (Material Management Module).

Supply Chain Management.

Vendor Delivery Performance.

Adherence to Service Level Agreement Mitigation.

Ensuring Legalities.

Good knowledge and hands-on experience in MS Office.

Good knowledge of the principles and techniques of procurement combined with a practical knowledge of physical material and logistics.

Ability to communicate and work under pressure and carry out a detailed analysis of delivery dates/material plans.

Proven track record in working effectively in multi-cultural and multi-discipline work environments.

Experience in managing all third parties that contribute to the on-time delivery of ORYX GTL materials.

Proficiency in written and spoken English is essential.

Bachelor’s degree

Minimum Experience:

5 Years of experience in a similar role in Oil & Gas Sectors.
