We are seeking Director of Business Innovation in our Qatar Campus.

The Director of Business Innovation reports to the Chief Operations Officer and is primarily responsible for overseeing transformative projects, optimizing operations, and promoting goal congruence among the various functional areas. Equipped with expertise in innovative consulting, this role will be responsible for managing multiple cross-functional projects, performing in-depth analysis, and ensuring the successful implementation of technology-based solutions. Additionally, this role supervises the BI Analyst, overseeing data insights, surveys, and institutional research to guide the development and implementation of solutions.

This role will also partner with senior management across academic and non-academic areas to identify and develop projects that improve campus operations, elevate community experiences, and partner with main campus divisions on university projects and strategic initiatives. With a clear focus on innovation, monitoring and evaluation, and data analysis, this role is charged with leveraging innovation to propel the Qatar campus operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1- Strategic Innovation and Project Leadership

Identify, develop, and oversee a portfolio of projects in partnership with operational and academic departments that align with the campus and university strategic initiatives. Lead project teams on innovative initiatives that bolster campus operations and uplift community experiences. Devise a strategic innovation roadmap with input from the Business Intelligence Analyst. This position will also play a key role in championing change management and a culture of innovation, encouraging forward-thinking ideas and solutions. Provide guidance and support to departments, ensuring minimal disruption and optimal adoption of new processes.

2- Cross-Functional Management & Capacity Building

Foster a collaborative and inclusive culture, promoting dynamic relationships across the campus. Direct innovation programs to improve business processes by developing plans, schedules, and budgets for solution implementations. Work with Human Resources to enhance personnel competencies in areas like process optimization, project management, professional development, and emerging technologies.

3- Operational Leadership and Execution

Develop robust alliances across the university, including main campus departments, to both pilot new initiatives and adopt best practices from the main campus and across Education City. Enhance internal communications, stakeholder relationships, and develop consensus-based solutions. Provide support and mentor the Business Intelligence Analyst for growth and professional development.

4- Technological and Sustainability Leadership

Champion the integration of technology-based solutions to provide leadership with easy access to insights and data, encourage utilization of project and task management tools, and develop proficiencies in university e-learning platforms. Remain attuned to the latest advancements in DEIB, sustainability, and technological innovation, positioning the campus as a pioneering force for impactful change.

Required Qualifications:

Master’s degree in business, technology, engineering, or analytics with a background in project and change management and business process analysis.

Strong proficiency in technologies, including project management and data analysis tools and techniques.

Exceptional leadership, communication, collaboration, and presentation abilities. Skilled at building relationships and consensus with diverse stakeholders.
