Your Tasks and Responsibilities:
As a Conventional Trailer Operator at Roll Group Middle East, you will be responsible for:
- Preparing transport operations, including mobilization and preparation of transport combinations.
- Ensuring the presence of all necessary documentation and identifying safety risks in the workplace.
- Safely operating heavy transport trucks, conventional trailers, and other means of transport.
- Following industry-recognized signals and practices for load movement.
- Performing and checking rigging and lashing to ensure safe transport of personnel, load, and equipment.
- Compliance with established safety regulations, both internally and externally.
- Troubleshooting and resolving any issues with trailers.
- Utilizing basic knowledge of engineering drawings/sketches to ensure load compliance.
- Assisting with jacking, pumping, carriage, winch, and related tasks before, during, and after movement.
- Collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Identifying necessary maintenance and repairs.
- Completing and managing administrative tasks such as consignment notes and weekly statements.
- Performing other related duties as necessary or assigned by the manager or supervisor.
- 3-5 years of experience in transport operations, rigging operations, and equipment.
- Excellent communication and situational awareness skills.
- Knowledge and competency related to transportation under regional governing agencies. Valid driver’s license through the local jurisdiction.
