This role is responsible to define, develop, formulate and update the policy architecture and define risk and governance frameworks for Mobile Financial Services.

Risk & Governance function is responsible to update and implement the relevant Risk Management policies and the Risk Appetite Framework. Layout risk management principles, guidelines and monitor risk levels required to achieve sustainability and growth in line with the organizational strategy. Build governance models to ensure compliance with internal and external policies and manage risk.
Support in implementing the policies of the organization along with their execution and awareness in order to inculcate a culture of ownership and responsibility across the organization.
Monitor that the different functions within the organization have adequate policies and procedures in place and the same are timely updated as per the review frequency defined in respective documents.
Support relevant functions in an escalation of significant issues and exception items identified as a result of policy reviews
Communicate on governance matters (including identified issues) with relevant stakeholders, management, and team members.
Provide support, wherever required, for management meetings and for the completion of required action items related to governance
Monitor Internal Audit observations and present them on an appropriate forum for timely closure of open observations and accountability of relevant stakeholders.
Initiate governance-related training for awareness of roles and responsibilities of various functions.
Ensure that risk architecture and risk framework in the organization is updated and maintained as per regulatory and internal requirements.
Develop and formulate the relevant Risk Management Policies by considering change in regulatory, macro/micro-environments.
Monitoring risks to the organization and presenting in the Management meetings or the relevant committees
Implement risk management tools across the organization (for example, incident reporting, risk registers, key risk indicators, etc.)
Provide directions to relevant stakeholders for various products, processes and risks in accordance with the organization’s performance and growth strategy.
Implement a process with the product team on the development and launch of products for assessing them from a risk/compliance perspective.
Implement a risk appetite framework in line with the organizational strategy
Collaborate with functional heads to support management in the identification and assessment of risks including money laundering/terrorism financing risks.
Handle Internal/ External Audit, bank and QCB audit matters.
Inculcate a culture of risk management through training or awareness sessions
EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
8 years of experience in Risk Management, Policies Creation and monitoring.
Experience in Compliance
Experience in multiple markets for MFS
A clear understanding of Financial Services business and key stakeholders
Good knowledge of mobile financial services products and services
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Investment/Risk Management/Business.
