The ideal candidate for Business Development Coordinator will lead initiatives to generate, support and facilitate the business development efforts of a company. This candidate will be focused and have strong communication skills. They should be able to think critically when making plans and have a demonstrated ability to execute a particular strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Research and identify new business opportunities – including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products and services – or new ways of reaching existing markets
  • Coordination of meetings for the Business Partner
  • Organize and maintain calendar, scheduling appointments, meetings, and events efficiently
  • Assist in documentation preparation, formatting, and proofreading for reports, presentations and other materials
  • Support the sales process by preparing sales presentations, promotional materials, and sales collaterals. Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of necessary resources.
  • Support the coordination of business development activities. This may include scheduling meetings, preparing materials, and maintaining relevant databases.
  • Collect and analyze data related to lead generation, conversion rates, and overall business development performance to make data-driven decisions.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to management on business development activities, progress, and results.
  • Manage meetings with customers/clients face to face or over the phone
  • Thinking strategically – seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives in order to develop and improve the business
  • Working strategically – carrying out necessary planning in order to implement operational changes
  • Development of client proposals & contracts
  • Having a good understanding of the business’s products or services and being able to advise others about them
  • Ensuring staff are on board throughout the organization, and understanding the need for change and what is required of them
  • Liaising with the finance team
  • Seeking ways of improving the way the business operates
  • Attending seminars, conferences, and events where appropriate
  • Helping team members develop their skills

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 3 – 4 years prior business development experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven knowledge and execution of successful development strategies
  • Focused and goal-oriented
  • Project management experience is preferable
