The ideal candidate for Business Development Coordinator will lead initiatives to generate, support and facilitate the business development efforts of a company. This candidate will be focused and have strong communication skills. They should be able to think critically when making plans and have a demonstrated ability to execute a particular strategy.
Responsibilities
- Research and identify new business opportunities – including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products and services – or new ways of reaching existing markets
- Coordination of meetings for the Business Partner
- Organize and maintain calendar, scheduling appointments, meetings, and events efficiently
- Assist in documentation preparation, formatting, and proofreading for reports, presentations and other materials
- Support the sales process by preparing sales presentations, promotional materials, and sales collaterals. Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of necessary resources.
- Support the coordination of business development activities. This may include scheduling meetings, preparing materials, and maintaining relevant databases.
- Collect and analyze data related to lead generation, conversion rates, and overall business development performance to make data-driven decisions.
- Provide regular reports and updates to management on business development activities, progress, and results.
- Manage meetings with customers/clients face to face or over the phone
- Thinking strategically – seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives in order to develop and improve the business
- Working strategically – carrying out necessary planning in order to implement operational changes
- Development of client proposals & contracts
- Having a good understanding of the business’s products or services and being able to advise others about them
- Ensuring staff are on board throughout the organization, and understanding the need for change and what is required of them
- Liaising with the finance team
- Seeking ways of improving the way the business operates
- Attending seminars, conferences, and events where appropriate
- Helping team members develop their skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 3 – 4 years prior business development experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven knowledge and execution of successful development strategies
- Focused and goal-oriented
- Project management experience is preferable
