The ideal candidate will provide essential support to the accounting department in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and assisting with various financial tasks. This position will give you the opportunity to grow your accounting knowledge and experience.
Responsibilities
- Providing daily information for QuickBooks entry or perform the entries
- Support analyzing transactions into correct accounts/categories
- Monthly reports
- Checking balances
- Credit card maintenance
- Cheques
- Payment voucher
- Make payments
- Necessary filings
- Issue salary
- Prepare payroll records and salary slips
- Calculation deductions
- Support HR on time off/vacation
- Provide monthly payroll report
- Issue checks/online payments
- Monthly reimbursements petty cash
- Inventory accounting and revenue recognition
- Support on tax preparation
- Generate P&L/balance sheet/receivables/payables weekly meeting
- Review statements for accuracy
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field of study
- 1-3 years’ of experience working in Accounting
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly detail-oriented
- Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
Experience:
- Proven experience as an accounting assistant or in a similar role.
- Experience in QuickBooks
