- Effectively participate in the development of the RGS strategy with specific focus on the deliverables of the New well delivery team. Perform day-to-day Petrophysical operational activity to interpret well logs of development & appraisal wells and integrate other available well data.
- Collaborate with other siubsurface disciplines and contribute to the overall objective of the New Well Delivery team throughout the cycle starting with WSOR process to the post well reviews.
Your Tasks
- Challenge, recommend and develop data acquisitions programs for new wells and work overs.
- Focus on Safety, Cost optimisation during data acquisition process and adhere to technical deadlines within budgetary constraints.
- Develop positive relationships with suppliers e.g. well logging and core analysis companies, to maintain service quality. Generate detailed QC report of wells involved with.
- Petrophysical focal point in the well SOR process.
- Perform Pattern synthesis as required by the organization.
- Petrophysical focal point to any long-term or short-term studies based on the organisation’s requirement.
- Consider the aspect of HSE in all Petrophysical activities and adhere to all company mandatory rules.
- Remain alert on security of data and follow company code of ethics.
- Perform petrophysical analyses of Development, Appraisal and Exploration wells(Horizontal & Vertical) for volumetric assessments and reservoir characterization with associated uncertainties and ensure the validation process of the results without supervision.
- Make recommendations and provide technical analyses to team, line management, Team and Project leaders (Assets) and other disciplines.
- Prepare technical report and collaborate with all stakeholders to integrate petrophysical data and study results.
- Coaching & Mentoring of less experienced staff.
- Represent company, when required, in committees and workgroups, presenting technical interpretations and recommendations
Your Profile
- Minimum of 15 years’ experience as a Petrophysicist, as an operations petrophysicist.
- Minimum requirement of a bachelor’s degree, and preferably Master’s degree (in Earth Sciences, Physical Sciences or Petroleum Engineering)
- Skilled in Petrophysical evaluation of both LWD & Wireline logs.
- Skilled in evaluation of both Carbonate & Clastics and Horizontal & Vertical wells. Preference to petrophysicists with experience of Middle eastern carbonates.
- Skilled in both Deterministic and Probabilistic interpretation methodologies with uncertainties.
- Skilled in Image log interpretation (LWD & Wireline). Skilled in Horizontal borehole image
- Skilled in Petrophysical data management.
- Knowledge of Geo-steering of wells.
- Knowledge of industry standard petrophysical interpretation software. Skilled in Techlog
- Knowledge of vendor tools and different data acquisition practices.
- Working Knowledge of coring and core analysis techniques.
- Working Knowledge of multiphase Production Logging
- Knowledge of Saturation height function methods & application.
- Experience of working within a multi-disciplined environment with exposure to subsurface oil and gas operations
- Ability to work within tight time constraints while delivering high quality technical interpretations.
- Excellent organizational skills and communication skills with proficiency in written & spoken English.
- Excellent team player
- Ability to communicate and challenge senior level peers and stakeholders
- Cross-functional subsurface knowledge
