To maximize sales, provide the highest levels of customer service, be responsible for the security of stock and cash and to ensure that the shops are strongly merchandised.

Role Accountabilities

• Approaches, smile and engage customers. Meet their needs through selling merchandise, giving service, and promoting QDC.
• Provides professional, attentive & speedy service. Provide customers with retail and QDC information as required.
• Highlights special offers and new products to customers.
• Full commitment and participation in all promotional activities.
• Full adherence to retail sales transaction and cash handling procedure.
• Process customers transactions efficiently and must present receipts at all times to the customer.
• Scan products accurately to ensure no stock losses and prompt reporting of any barcode, other labelling of pricing errors.
• Careful checking of customer liquor permits and photographs to ensure the sales are made according to permit rules and regulations.
• Account for the cash variances at the end of the shift.
• Stocks out shelves in a neat and effective manner ensures stock and shelving is clean prior to display.
• Replenished stock from sub-stores onto the sales floor when needed.
• Maintain required stock levels and ensures effective stock rotation to prevent out-of-date stock.
• Accurately price products.
• Maintain store cleanliness.
• Provides feedback to team members and managers regarding product interest (out-of-stock, customer requests)
• Adherence to all retail cash, stock and customs procedures
• Be proactive in bringing attention to customer movements and behavior, shop/stock layout that may lead to stock variances.
• Behave in a polite and business-like manner while on duty and show the highest regard for all our customers.
• Acquire a high level of product knowledge to assist customers accordingly.
• Participate in regular company stock count.
• Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.

Qualifications

• High School Qualification with a Minimum 1 year of job-related experience OR
• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with No prior job-related work experience.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
