We are currently recruiting an experienced Director of People & Development / Director of Human Resources to join our team at The Ned Doha. The role is to lead the daily operations of P&D/HR, as well as the management and development of the P&D / HR team.

As Director of People & Development, working with us entails the following:
- Strategic HR Planning: Develop and implement the hotel’s human resources strategies, policies, and procedures in line with the overall organizational goals and objectives. Provide strategic guidance and support to senior management on HR-related matters.
- Recruitment and Selection: Oversee the hotel’s recruitment and selection process, including advertising job vacancies, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and making hiring decisions. Ensure that the hotel has a qualified and diverse workforce.
- Employee Relations: Foster positive employee relations by developing and implementing effective employee engagement programs, policies, and initiatives. Address employee concerns, grievances, and disciplinary issues in a fair and consistent manner.
- Performance Management: Develop and administer performance management systems, including performance appraisals, goal setting, and performance improvement plans. Provide guidance and support to managers in effectively managing employee performance.
- Training and Development: Identify training needs, design and deliver training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge. Coordinate with department managers to ensure that employees receive appropriate training and development opportunities.
- Compensation and Benefits: Oversee the hotel’s compensation and benefits.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in the same role at a luxury property
- Hands-on, enthusiastic and motivational are words that describe you best
- Ability to lead, multi-task and make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment
- IT skills such as using hr and recruitment systems, Outlook, office systems and touchscreen devices
- Exceptional attention to detail, time management and organizational skills
- Proven ability to build and develop a motivated and dedicated team
