We are seeking a skilled and experienced Kitchen Equipment Technician to join our team. As a Kitchen Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing various kitchen equipment and appliances in commercial establishments. Your primary goal will be to ensure that all kitchen equipment is in good working condition to support smooth operations and minimize downtime.
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a wide range of kitchen equipment, including but not limited to ovens, grills, refrigerators, dishwashers, and fryers.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions and determine the appropriate course of action to fix the problem.
- Order and replace faulty parts or components, ensuring they meet the required specifications.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work, including dates, services performed, and parts used.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and management to understand equipment issues and provide timely solutions.
- Stay updated with industry trends, new equipment models, and technological advancements relevant to kitchen equipment.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working with electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring proper storage of tools and equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Kitchen Equipment Technician or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen equipment and appliances, including their installation, maintenance, and repair procedures.
- Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving equipment malfunctions.
- Familiarity with electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems related to kitchen equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
