Your Tasks

  • Planning, prioritize, execute, and monitor various civil & steel structure maintenance activities by following sound engineering principles and practices;
  • Daily maintenance and upkeep of plant civil & steel structures under responsibility and execution of maintenance jobs as per the plan;
  • Supports the Maintenance teams in managing the civil discipline, and assist and liaison with the other Maintenance team members as applicable;
  • Ensure that all activities and works in responsibility are done in full compliance with the HSEQ requirements of company and the relevant Authorities;
  • Ensure implementation of the company Contract requirements in area of responsibility and report any deviation through the line responsible;
  • Actively contribute to safety walks, reporting of accidents and investigation of accidents;
  • Good knowledge in structural design for steel and concrete structures, concrete rehabilitation works, maintenance of marine structures including Jetties and steel structure maintenance works in process plant;
  • Good knowledge in the use of structural design software such as STAAD PRO, SAP etc. including AutoCAD;
  • Good knowledge in international standards and codes;
  • To prepare technical specifications, scope of work and complete tender package for the civil/structural works of various projects, perform technical / bid clarifications and meetings, technical evaluation of bids, provide support during commercial evaluation / negotiations and present to various committees for necessary approvals;
  • Review and approval of design & engineering documents, calculations, shop drawings, method statements, Job safety analysis etc;
  • Follow up Contractor/Subcontractors with regards to interpretation and proper implementation of the technical content/Scope of the Contract documents;
  • Follow up the civil erection, installation, maintenance & repair works on Site to ensure correct installation according to approved Work Method Statements and Construction drawings;
  • Supports the maintenance team in managing the civil discipline and assist and liaison with the other Team members as applicable;
  • Reports on the progress of all activities within own discipline;
  • Ensure implementation of the company Contract requirements in area of responsibility and report any deviation to the line responsible;
  • Assess and prioritize all scheduled activities in co-ordination with end-users to ensure minimal process downtime and allocate appropriate resources to achieve cost-effectiveness;
  • Follow up and verify the status of structural Completion activities and Contractor’s achievement of Milestones;
  • To familiarize and comply with all Company Management system procedures related to Health, Safety, Environment, Quality, Energy and product stewardship;
  • Identify, report, and follow up risks within own area of responsibility;
  • Co-ordinate with Planners and end-users to ensure spares and materials are available for schedule activities and that cost-effective replenishment levels are maintained;
  • Review of work requests to ensure correct activities are undertaken.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline from a recognized University;
  • 7+ years direct and relevant experience related to Civil and Steel Structural works in Projects & maintenance for oil/gas or petrochemical or fertilizer industry.
