About The Role

Lead Aeropolitical and Regulatory Affairs Officer support the team in the management of Qatar Airways bilateral requirements. The role involves research, collection of information/data, and analysis of how to best secure and enhance Qatar Airways’ new / additional traffic rights. Responsible in assisting the team in liaising with QCAA on the creation of the framework, which allows QR’s maximum flexibility. As directed by Management, coordinate and facilitate legal review of all regulatory laws and directives for all countries that may have an impact on QR operations, ensuring the requirements and correspondences are properly articulated and drafted to secure the implementation of these regulations within QR.

Qualifications And Experience

Without a Degree: High School Qualification / Vocational Qualification /Diploma or Equivalent (Type of Diploma Based on Role) with Minimum 5 years of job-related experience

OR

With a Degree: Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 4 years of job-related experience

OR Qatari Nationals: Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent without prior experience

Essential

â–ª Law, Aviation Management or International Relations.

â–ª Engagement with Management and technical level stakeholders experience in negotiations and legal drafting.

â–ª Management of projects with multiple stakeholders and strict deadlines. Preferred

â–ª A professional qualification in Law or International relations.

â–ª Additionally, possess an LLB or JD.

â–ª Airline, Regulatory or Legal industry experience.

Job Specific Skills: Essential

â–ª Detailed knowledge and understanding of laws, regulations, treaties and protocols.

â–ª Ability to interpret and integrate the integrity of regulatory data and information.

â–ª Self-managerial skills – ability to manage own workflow.

â–ª Ability to foster teamwork among team members.

â–ª Command of English language.
