The Benefits & Compensation Officer is responsible to ensure accurate and timely payroll.
Work closely with Finance and Cross-Functional stakeholders to ensure the benefits and compensation services are delivered at best practice standards.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary Accountabilities:
- Input attendance data and investigate any missing data, and maintain accurate attendance records
- Ensure the electronic registration system is updated daily investigate any missing data with staff
- Record staff absences and late arrivals by maintaining accurate attendance records.
- Providing support and guidance to employees on attendance issues, such as offering ways to improve work performance or adjust work schedules to meet deadlines.
- Communicating with supervisors about attendance issues, especially those that require immediate attention
- Conducting investigations into employee absences to determine whether they were justified or not.
- Monitoring employee attendance at work using timekeeping devices such as biometric scanners.
- Maintaining payroll operations by following policies and procedures
- Ensure all payments and settlements are made on time in accordance with cut-off times and documented procedures as per compliance with policies and procedures and country regulatory requirements
- Tracking employee working hours
- Informing employees regarding employee deductions
- Identifying and resolving any payroll discrepancies
- Processing & Approving monthly timesheets and overtime verification
- Creating leave report reports and storing information
- Updating Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
- Collaborating with Finance Department – Payroll Section for leave / overt time.
- Calculating pay and benefit entitlements, overtime and other payments
- Investigating and resolving payroll issues in a timely and efficient manner
- Provide functional support to Finance and HR from a payroll management perspective
- Any other related tasks requested by the management.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or Finance or Business Administration
- At least 2 years of experience as Payroll Officer preferably managing the payroll for not less than 1000 people.
- Should have demonstratable skills in advanced excel such as V lookup, Pivot table and ERP.
- Should have demonstrable skills in designing dashboards and Database Applications
- Advanced skills in MS Office – V Lookup, Pivot table.
- Hands on experience with ERP software
- Familiarity with Qatar labor laws.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
