Job Description:

• The Chiller Service Engineer will exhibit proficiency in servicing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Commercial and industrial cooling equipment.
• Provides preventive maintenance on chillers and commercial cooling systems.
• Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and repairs commercial/ industrial cooling systems and temperature controls.
• Performs related work as assigned.
• Troubleshoots and repairs all electrical and mechanical components of HVAC equipment.
• Provides startups and troubleshooting for a variety of commercial HVAC systems meets with customers, evaluates their needs and makes recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for servicing products and equipment on assigned projects and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Performs commissioning, repairs, maintenance, upgrade, and work related to HVAC services.
• Prepares for on-site works by anticipating difficulties, and gathering materials, tools, and instructions as necessary.
• Identifies, analyzes, diagnoses, and repairs systems and products at the customer’s location.
• Uses a variety of hand tools, wiring diagrams, piping schemes, IOMs, or engineering specifications as required.
• Documents work by timely completing paperwork on each job and maintaining required files (paper or electronic).
• Determines parts to order for repairs and timeliness of need.
• Keeps current on all Chiller OEM products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair.
• Represents the Company by serving as a direct customer contact. Is able to listen, inform and recommend.
• Supports other technicians by providing technical advice and offering guidance.
• Participates in Technicians/Services acquisition programs and provides Sales Lead.
• Provide technical assistance and on-site training for team members. Regularly evaluate skills and create development plans for each technician.
• Assist and train the technicians in their communication with the customer.
• Train the technicians on the proper completion of all recommended repairs.
• Provide response to emergency service calls when the primary technician is unavailable.
• Ensure completion of maintenance within the scheduled month and allotted time.
• Perform quality checks on Service technicians that are part of the team. Report exceptions to Global Engineer.
• Motivates field staff to identify new potential work opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proficient in the service, diagnostics, and repair of:
• Large tonnage centrifugal chillers
• Air-cooled and water-cooled screw, scroll and reciprocating chillers
• Packaged rooftop units
• Split condensing/AHU systems
• Pumps
• Cooling towers
• 10 years of commercial and industrial HVAC experience
• EPA Universal Certification
• Valid driver’s license as an advantage
• Experience with building automation systems
• Experience with centrifugal chillers 250 tons and above
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Word, and Excel.
