SEK International School Qatar seeks an experienced and creative Director of Learning & Teaching for August 2023 to join our vibrant international community of learners.

The ideal candidate will have broad leadership experience in an international school, preferably with experience in curriculum development and support in an IB World School; a passion and vision for professional learning for teachers; and the ability to play a key role in our Senior Leadership Team to promote and achieve our values, beliefs and vision.

He/she will be instrumental in supporting IB Coordinators and teachers in promoting best practices of learning and teaching and maintaining optimal learning and academic achievement across the school, within a collaborative learning environment. As a lead learner, he/she will value a holistic approach to students’ pastoral care and promote their positive health and well-being. Excellent interpersonal skills and fluency in English are essential, and knowledge of Arabic and Spanish is desirable.

Requirements

Degree in education, post-graduate, master’s (qualification to teach) with experience in management and leadership positions in education.

Knowledge of ICT fit for the position.

Knowledge of IB programs and NEASC accreditation

English as a first language or fully bilingual.

Spanish and/or Arabic will be desirable. Experience in international environments
