Station Head – DOH / Regional Head – M.EAST, ASEAN

Role Purpose

The Assistant Station Head is generally responsible for supporting Station Head to ensure the airline’s ground operations are in full compliance with all safety, security, and regulatory requirement and all airline’s policies, procedures and operating manuals.

Key Accountability

  • Responsible to perform periodic oversight assessments on all Ground Service Providers to ensure their compliance with the contracted agreement and Service Level Agreement.
  • Required to verify payment collection from excess baggage, last minute upgrade airport performed by Ground Handler Agent on daily basis.
  • Required to verify all invoices from Service Providers and to collect data for reports as part of verification.
  • Responsible and accountable to support Station Head to ensure all flight or service disruption are being handled and managed in the most effective and efficient manner, taking into consideration and prioritization on safety and customer satisfaction
  • Required to support Station Head to plan and coordinate with Regional Head, Airport Services Training Manager and Ground Service Provider, to fulfil all training requirements and development programs, for all Airport Services staff and Ground Service Provider staff at the respective station as mandated in Ground Operations Manual.

Key Challenges

  • Ensure effective management and control of fund, account receivables and payables and cost within approve budget, communications and statutory/legal requirements.
  • Develop, establish and maintain close rapport through networking with key personalities in the Government agency, other relevant external parties and maximise business opportunities for the Company.
  • To provide consistent predictable and highest quality services in all aspect of station as well as be responsible and accountable for upholding service standards of all facets of operations.

Profile description:

Qualifications & Working Experience

  • Degree in any field with at least 1 years of working experience, or
  • Diploma in any field with at least 2& years of working experience, or
  • High School Certificate or equivalent with at least 3 years of working experience in any relevant field.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Extensive knowledge of Airport Services functions and key activities including technical and operational related matters.
  • Ability to analyse and interpret codes and information and use information to maximise when planning, organising and supervising the work of others and setting priorities.
  • Ability to work with the team, senior management and stakeholders as required and making effective decisions to maintain operational standard, commercial performance and customer satisfactions.
  • Able to manage and monitor performance against standards and, investigating and addressing poor performance, anticipating future trends and adapting products and procedures to ensure consistent overall performance.
