To manage the implementation of a focused sales (and brand management) strategy for Company’s branded cars, in line with the divisional and overall corporate sales plans for the concerned brand to enable to achieve the business customer acquisition, revenue and growth of company’s customer base. Help General Manager with the achievement of profit targets and market share of brands.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Contribute to the formulation and implementation of the Commercial (Sales) strategy and plans with General Manager to ensure cooperation with Company’s business line needs and objectives.

2. Ensure that the department objectives are effectively communicated to his/her team.

3. Contribute to the development of Luxury Cars (Sales) Policies, Procedures, and Guidelines as and when required, and assist in implementation to ensure that all procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while always ensuring delivery of a high quality and cost-effective service to company’s clients.

4. Manage the day-to-day operations of the sales department by providing expertise, encouraging, and ensuring teamwork, and aligning work processes to achieve high performance standards, meet established targets and objectives, and ensure employee engagement in a motivated work environment.

5. Identify, develop, and track the sales plans and and monitor sales performance of the team versus the agreed-upon objectives so that the General Manager is aware of anticipated revenues, areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified, and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalized upon.

6. Develop and assign sales targets for the Luxury Car sales teams, follow up on their achievements and take corrective actions whenever needed to ensure compliance with contracts and agreed-upon guidelines to meet the sales action plan.

7. Focus on building a strong Branded Luxury Car customer base through identifying and reaching different sales and marketing channels (in coordination with the Marketing team).

8. Ensure a sharp customer focus is provided in all sales campaigns and customer interactions including handling complaints, collections/payment follow-ups/timely collection of payments by customers and any other support provision to ensure Self and Teams’ utmost satisfaction and retention of Brand’s customers.

9. Keep General Manager up to date of all the sales plans, achievement in sales growth, and / or any potential issues for an effective sales process

10. Ensure the sales team monitors all logistical needs and requirements for the Branded Luxury Car sales across and ensure the team keeps track of all key logistical activities to facilitate implementation and resolve any problems for Brand’s customers.

11. Review market data gathered by the sales and marketing team and monitor competitors’ activities; and regularly inform the General Manager on market share status to remain abreast of key changes and challenges in the Luxury Cars competitive market.

12. Escalate critical issues to provide effective recommendations in meeting any key challenges.

13. Ensure sales team completes the requirement for updating the brand’s online systems requirements/ IT Applications on a timely basis regularly without fail.

14. Provide professional advice to the General Manager on various sales related initiatives and issues to keep him informed and abreast of relevant developments.

COMMUNICATION & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

Internal:

All departments, Sales department, After Sales and Finance division.

(The Brand Manager reports to General Manager and confers with the latter on critical direct and indirect brand management and sales trends and issues, and coordinates with management on the same)

External:

All existing and prospective clients, Brand representatives, and Business Consultants.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or BA with specialization in Sales Management or Brand Management and / or Marketing. MBA would also be preferable.

Minimum Experience:

  • 7-10 years in Sales Support provision, preferably with a large organization in the automotive industry.
  • 4 – 6 years experience in managing/overseeing Sales functions at a supervisory/manager level.
