About the job

  • A Market Executive responsible for creating sales revenue from new and existing customers and maximizing revenue generation within a specific key region. This includes accurately forecasting business and market needs, formulating and implementing sales strategy, and achieving sales targets, while ensuring high customer satisfaction, with the support of the DOS.
  • Responsible for sales methodology and managing the account throughout the sales process including account penetration, sales process planning, negotiation, and closing. Additional responsibilities include understanding market requirements, product capabilities and future industry developments and trends; working with marketing, sales support, and other key departments within the company. The successful candidate must be solution driven.
  • Will also carry a fundamental products/contracts function, as he/she will be responsible for the competiveness and the updates of all the rates and contracts relevant to the market being serviced, this will require a thorough knowledge and understanding of the Destination suppliers, also market trends and positioning and aggressive negotiations skills.
  • Client Account Management on a day-to-day basis
  • Handling FIT request from the client work across a wide range of clients and focus on the retention, strategic development and growth of each
  • Supporting being accountable for revenue growth within key accounts
  • Providing regular two way communication between the client and the team
  • Financial reconciliation & forecasting across accounts, and follow up with the client for any pending payment
  • Dealing directly with clients and negotiating with suppliers
  • Develop an in-depth knowledge and close working relationship with clients from all industry segments within the designated geographic area.
  • Ensure that client on cash basis pay the outstanding on time and prior to the guest arrival
  • Coordination of sales activities with regional / representative sales offices.
  • Attend any other duties that may be requested by the Department Head.
  • Arrange and conduct site inspections and Fam trips where necessary
  • Make sure that the company system database is kept up to date, and that all account related activities are tracked
  • Develops and maintains key accounts through personal calls, correspondence with existing / potential client base.
  • Provides information to all people concerned regarding the servicing and handling of incoming FIT, correspondence and in writing
  • Prepares the monthly forecast in conjunction with market trends, competitors’ activities and tentative business, together with the department head.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role and background Destination Management Tourism industry.
  • Has a high ability to learn and to transfer knowledge.
  • Able to challenge in a constructive manner
  • Ability to think critically and share ideas and knowledge
  • Has the right attitude, aptitude, and displays positive behavior.
  • Pro-active and strong personality
  • Result and Solution Driven
  • Good administrative and documentation background
  • Goal oriented, team player, emotionally intelligent and positive/pragmatic approach
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Computer literate – Word, Excel, Power Point
  • Driving license is an advantage.
