About The Role

Responsible for the management of revenue optimization functions of an assigned region for QR Group. Includes oversight for the strategic direction and planning of Revenue Management pricing and inventory actions as well as Flight Management and quality assurance through the Team. Works with the RM Management Team to provide leadership and develop solutions to enhance revenue delivery and meet revenue objectives and KPIs including RASK.

  • Formulate a strategy to deliver the assigned region’s budget and maximize revenue across the network.
  • Liaise with other regions to ensure pricing strategies are formulated using analytical methodologies and communicate consistently and clearly to all stakeholders. Review and update regional group policies.
  • Ensure revenue management strategies are planned, implemented, monitored, and adjusted at appropriate times in the booking cycle to drive improved unit revenue performance.
  • Evaluate advance booking, forecast alerts, competitor threats, and the political, economic, or regulatory environment in the assigned region to understand the impact on demand and develop strategies to meet the regional passenger and revenue targets
  • Devise and implement strategies that lead to profitability in relation to yield and volume based on point of sale, O&D flow, compartment mix as well as route level needs.
  • Provide strategic and tactical business solutions for development embracing advanced automation techniques that bring new levels of quality assurance to Revenue Management processes.
  • Lead a team of managers and analysts’ ongoing activities to achieve the assigned region’s budget through a combination of Pricing, Demand, Flight level, and Specialist decisions. Direct managers and analysts to conduct retrospective assessments of seasonal performance to guide future plans.

About You

  • A minimum qualification of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent is essential.
  • 10+ years of job-related experience
  • Adequate airline commercial management training in more than one area including IATA/ Industry/ Government Affairs, Marketing, Sales, Planning, Budgeting, Field Sales Management, and Leadership is essential
  • Excellent understanding of airline economics, economics in general as well as sales and distribution (including systems).
  • Very good understanding of statistics, operations research, forecasting, and optimization methods
  • Good understanding of IT-related topics
  • Very good understanding of other related parts of the airline business process. This includes Network Planning and Scheduling, e-commerce, Marketing, and Sales
