About The Role

As the Head of Loyalty Partnerships, you will be responsible to develop, implement and activate the Loyalty Partnerships Strategy for Qatar Airways (QR) Driving member acquisition, partner revenue, engagement, profitability and retention. Add value to QR’s loyalty offering by expanding its collection and spend plus its status benefit footprint globally; increasing travel on QR flights, and generating incremental revenue, primarily through selling loyalty currencies to a variety of partners including global banks and credit cards and airlines. Responsible for generating and optimizing non-flight revenue streams and in designing an ecosystem to support those streams. Define goals for developing, managing, and promoting Privilege Club partners that will generate incremental revenue for QR and value for members. Major partner categories include airline, other travel, retail, and financial services.

Other Key Strategic & Operational Responsibilities Are

  • Develop and execute strategies that will grow partner portfolio in a smart sustainable manner, increase revenue, address competitive offering, and improve member engagement
  • Lead and manage strategic review and planning for activities with alliance and other airline partners so that they are aligned with QR’s overall commercial strategy.
  • Develop and actively manage partnerships with leading travel and hospitality brands that offer value and complement members flying across QR network, as well as more local, daily needs
  • Develop and actively manage strong retail and financial services (including cobrand) partnerships that focus on everyday spending and engagement of members
  • Strategically align Privilege Club with leading global partners/programs to create multi-faceted collaborations that can offer new features and benefits — earn, redemption, status, and joint marketing.
  • Pursue opportunities for non-air redemption which are attractive and cost-effective.
  • Promote Qatar Airways assets, products, and network by leveraging partners’ customer databases
  • Oversee and actively improve account management of 90+ airline and non-air partnerships
  • Monitor competitor activities and offerings with their partnerships especially in key markets

About You

We are looking for a passionate and experienced professional to join the Loyalty Team.

  • A minimum qualification of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent is essential.
  • 10+ years of job-related experience
  • Experience within Loyalty Programs and/or Partnerships Management
  • Experience working with multicultural customers and partner base
  • Experience in the development of global partnerships
  • Experience in the development of cobrand partnerships
