Head of Engagement and Audience Development
Develop and execute a scalable digital strategy across social media platforms.
Lead a team to plan, optimise, implement and manage the strategies, both organic and paid.
Develop and implement a growth/engagement approach for video-based platforms (YouTube and TikTok).
Oversee the social media team in generating, editing, publishing and sharing engaging content daily (e.g., original text, photos, videos and news).
Regularly explore the best ways to engage audiences cross-platform.
Oversee all aspects of the audience experience journey across all social channels, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube TikTok and Google.
Work closely with relevant stakeholders and internal teams (marketing + editorial) to map audience insights that will inform the design, implementation and monitoring of digital marketing strategies.
Liaise with the internal team and clients to understand their needs and facilitate the most effective messaging and content, from text to design.
Reporting to General Manager on potential opportunities and threats for the organisation, backed with solutions.
Assist with continuous website development, while improving SEO, SEM, social media, and email marketing for the company.Align with internal teams to create messages that are fully consistent with the company brand and objectives.
Support with developing and marketing the Doha News app across app store and Google Play.
Work with the marketing officer to deliberate effective marketing plans for clients, including producing content calendars and researching peak times to gain maximum traction.
Facilitate publication of sponsored content, while suggesting appropriate budgets to effectively boost relevant posts.
Translating data into insights before reporting this to both management and the wider team to inform future decisions.
Researching competitors and setting benchmarks based on current and future trends.
Continuously improve social media designs in order to keep users engaged
Required Skills and Experience:
A proven track record of leading and transforming a multi-channel digital marketing strategy.
Experience in a fast paced news organisation is preferred but not essential.
Successful track record of leading and managing small teams to deliver efficient and successful results.
Experience in managing marketing budgets and producing reports to stakeholders.
Experience in translating data into actionable insights to achieve business objectives.
A comprehensive understanding of social media channels, namely but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and TikTok.
Experience in using Google Docs/Sheets.
Experience using scheduling software; In particular Creator Studio, Later, TweetDeck.
Experience in paid media tools; Google Ads, Meta Ads, Twitter Ads, LinkedIn Ads, App promotion.
Experience in managing small teams, developing trusted relationships and working with colleagues across all mediums.
Strong understanding of graphic design, with experience using Experience in using ADOBE SUITE
Exceptional written communication skills, particularly experience in copywriting.
Proven experience in leading teams, having directly managed several people and contributed to their growth and improvement of output
Organisational skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to balance/prioritise multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
