Your Role – International, Challenging and Future-Oriented!

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Estimation and Pre-Sales Engineer on Fire Systems, who is ready to make an impact.

• Analyze tender requirements and define the most suitable solution [product, architecture, system] to be used according to the requirements
• Design and engineer the solution down to detail to satisfy the specified project requirements
• Comply with Siemens Bid Approval process including risk evaluation to the satisfaction of the internal and external stakeholders
• Analyze customers’ requirements and project backgrounds in order to better judge on aspects of products and solutions to be used
• Liaise with Sales Managers to ensures Bid success [commercial, time, quality] and conversion to Customer Orders
• Drive the development of technical standards and procedures
• Propose optimizations and improvements of Fire Solutions
• Promote Siemens Fire Products and Solutions
• Lead technical discussions on Fire Solutions with Customers and Consultants
• Clarify technical topics and liaise with Regional Technical Support and Factory Representatives as necessary
• Ensures smooth handover of projects to Execution Team
• Meet tender submission deadlines and requirements
• Maintain the QCD Approvals of Siemens Fire materials up to date

Your Qualifications and Skills – Digital and Solid!

• Holder of a valid QCDD certificate
• Full command of all Fire Standards and Codes QCDD, NFPA, EN54, BS5839 and BS6266
• Experience of medium to large scale Fire Alarm, knowledge of Voice Alarm, Graphics, Cause and Effect matrix, Do logic gate programming, VESDA
• Good knowledge of Fire System Integration to 3rd party systems [Smoke Management, Elevator, Generator, Lighting Control, HVAC BMS via BACnet]
• Capable to design voice evacuation & Fire Telephone Systems
• Familiar with Fire Suppression system design [FM200/Novec] and integration with main Fire Alarm panel
• Familiar with Firefighting system design [Pumps, Zone Control Valves, Flow Switches, etc.] and integration with main Fire Alarm Panel
• Good Knowledge of IP networking relevant to Fire Systems and network Security
• Highly motivated self-starter, capable of adapting to new and emerging technologies and products
• Have successful track record of estimations of complex Fire Safety Systems
• Good knowledge of the Fire Safety market in Qatar
• Self-motivated flexible individual with the ability to work well within a dynamic environment
• Proven communication, public speaking, and presentation skills
• Excellent methodical organizational and documentation skills
• Good team-worker, able to collaborate within a diverse team
• Knowledge of Siemens Fire portfolio is preferable
