A Group, Conference, and Events (GCE) Sales Manager manages the Groups, Conference and Events sales and actively converts customer enquiries into confirmed sales.
What will I be doing?
As Group, Conference, and Events (GCE) Sales Manager, you will manage the Groups, Conference and Events sales and actively converts customer enquiries into confirmed sales. The Group, Conference, and Events (GCE) Sales Manager will interact frequently with customers and guests to learn about their needs and develop relationships from which to earn repeat and expanded business. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Contribute to the selling strategy of the hotel and achievement of departments’ goals
- Maximise all Group, Conference, and Event revenue opportunities
- Review business plans, identify gaps and ensure proactive efforts to fill capacity and meet set targets
- Understand the competitive marketplace and implement approaches to ensure the hotel stays ahead in the local market
- Ensure a culture of high-quality standards for relationship building, customer service, selling techniques, and billing and processing contracts
- Organise hotel promotional activities & proactive efforts to secure GC&E business and leads
- Conduct weekly spot checks, and generate reports as required by

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
- Knowledge of the hotel property management systems (Delphi, OnQ, iDeaS)
- Arabic language (spoken, written and read)
- Previous GCC/Qatar work experience
- Previous experience in a luxury hotel
