University of Doha for Science and Technology – Marketing and Communications Directorate is inviting nominations and applications for the position of Graphic Designer. Reporting to the Manager, Marketing and Events, the Graphic Designer must possess the skills and expertise necessary to support the Marketing and Communications Directorate of the University and fully implementing UDST’s mission and vision.
Duties & Responsibilities:
This position requires a creative individual who will a support in the creation of print and digital publications and designs to communicate UDST image and messages to audiences on and off campus in support of strategic marketing and communication goals.
The successful candidate should conceptualize, design, produce and execute visual communication strategies, including logos, promotional items, special-event materials, brochures, catalogues and advertising in alignment with UDST identity standards to ensure consistent messaging.
The successful candidate should have a strong reel demonstrating exceptional 2D/3D motion graphics and character animation, and strong portfolio of motion graphics work. Strong knowledge of Adobe Illustrator – Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere “and other related software”, 2+ years of experience with motion video production, multimedia, and animation.
The incumbent will assist in the layout and design of corporate materials (Annual Reports, Academic Calendar, Student Handbooks, University View Book, Colleges Programs Guides, newsletters, etc.) and event promotion materials.
The successful candidate shall perform design duties and remain up to date on UDST design software and new technical developments in the graphic design industry to ensure employment of design best practices. S/He will maintain digital database of design items and materials to ensure ease of access.
The successful candidate will coordinate the print production of marketing and communication materials in line with strategic initiatives and UDST visual brand identity. S/He will provide input and direction for non-print marketing, including video and photos to ensure creativity, accuracy and attainment of marketing messaging goals.
The successful candidate will develop and maintain brand elements, design and visual style guidelines to ensure compliance with UDST’s branding standards. S/He will support the management of the UDST departmental photographic library by ensuring accurate documentation and filing, facilitating easy access to photos.

The incumbent will liaise with vendors to obtain cost estimates for projects within quality specifications, and financial and time constraints and perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Education and Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or a related field required
Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in Graphic Design, or a related field
