About The Role

The major responsibility of a Flight Crew Licensing Officer is to process the pilot’s license application for Command upgrade, ATPL upgrades, New Hire Pilots (after joining and completing their Training in the Company), thus ensuring licenses are issued by QCAA and received on time, prior to commencement of Line Flying Training as scheduled in the Pilot’s roster. To ensure New Hire Pilots documents are reviewed and submitted to QCAA for verification purpose prior to the Pilot joining the Company.

Some Responsibilities Of The Role Include

  • To ensure that license applications for the New joiners, Command upgrade, ATPL upgrade, MPL cadets, change of personal particulars etc. are processed and license is issued within the time frame.
  • To ensure follow up is done with the Pilots for submission of their applications for avoidance of delay in flying duties as per the planned schedule.
  • To prepare course completion certificates after various types of training is completed in accordance with QCAA regulations for issuance of licenses.
  • To track the license status with QCAA for license applications submitted to QCAA and maintain database for the same.
  • It is ensured that once training is completed by the Flight Deck Crew, the license application is processed in time to enable Line Flying as scheduled, this avoids roster disruption.
  • To attend and assist all new flight deck crew new joiners with regards to their licensing procedures and coordinate with QCAA for smooth functioning of the Qatari license after their training is completed.
  • To ensure the copies of all license and Certificate and ratings card (including English level) are provided to the internal teams to update the records in TOPS and EDOCS.
  • To ensure being well versed with new regulations related to licenses and to practically handle the documentation.
  • To ensure that the Pilots logbooks are verified (total flying hours) and stamped accordingly.
  • It is ensured to carefully review the license and its related documents of a New Hire Pilot selected to join the Company and submit the application to QCAA in order to obtain verification confirmation from the concerned CAAs prior to the Pilot joining the Company.

An Ideal Candidate Should Meet The Below Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 3 years of job-related experience

Essential

  • Well conversant with MS packages, proficient in e-mail etiquette / TOPS connect
  • Knowledge of Qatar Civil Aviation Authority regulations and Company license related requirements
  • Able to work independently and produce training reports
  • Ability to understand and interpret legality, accurately and with minimal management input

Job Specific Skills

  • Insert practical and technical knowledge needed including management skills
  • Well conversant with MS packages, proficient in internet/e-mail/AIMS operations
  • Knowledge of Qatar Civil Aviation Authority regulations and Company training requirements
  • Able to work independently and produce training reports
  • Ability to understand and interpret legality, accurately and with minimal management input
  • Good Command of English language
  • Excellent customer service required for attending to Pilots
