Sulzer Middle East is looking for a field service engineer, with strong experience in compressors responsible for the overhaul, repair, installation & commissioning of rotating equipment to support our clients based in Qatar.

The Main responsibilities entails:

• Provision of the safe and effective site and workshop overhaul, repair, installation and commissioning services for all rotating equipment
• Be the first point of contact for allocated customers in respect of any issues relating to agreed on-site scopes of work
• Develop strong relationships with key client contacts
• Be responsible for on-site Health & Safety
• Compile on-site Risk Assessments for scopes of work.
• Lead and supervise on-site repair teams during site contract execution.
• Provide continuous improvement in repair, installation and commissioning activities
• Develop and maintain good and effective relationships with clients to optimise further service opportunities
• Liaise with technical departments within Sulzer to develop engineering solutions
• Manage relevant suppliers and subcontractors
• Compilation of comprehensive site reports in line with company quality management system
• Participate and actively support company initiatives

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• Engineering technical qualification
• 10 years’ experience in installation and commissioning activity related to compressors and other rotating equipment
• Experience in assembly, operation and testing of compressors and other rotating equipment
• General computer skills (MS office)
• Experience working in the Middle East
• Ability to read and comprehend engineering drawings and data.
