We are looking for a Pharmacy Specialist experienced in Cerner (EMR) supply chain integration with Oracle in a hospital setting.

The Specialist – Pharmacy Systems is a key member of the Pharmacy clinical care team. S/he is an expert in human factors, patient safety, and the use of technology to optimize care delivery processes and effectively communicate patient care activity. The Specialist – Pharmacy Systems collaborates closely with other healthcare and information technology professionals to promote the safe, efficient, effective, timely, and optimal use of medications. S/he supports care by working closely with the Pharmacy Applications team on requirements gathering and completion of DCW’s which will be built by the Pharmacy applications team following the set-out governance process. Further supports the provision of care by ensuring competency and required skill set of pharmacists and end users in being able to utilize the system to optimum care delivery. The incumbent works closely with clinicians, departmental leadership, Quality, Patient Safety, and Information Technology staff to clarify needs, prioritize requests, and optimize workflow to fit patient care goals. S/he also works with the Revenue Cycle, Information Technology to ensure organizational goals and business performance metrics are met. SPOC for IMT team for all the initiatives and improvements to the existing and new implementations. S/he supports the Pharmacy team in key activities like SOH count (Oracle-Cerner), functional requirement documentation, adoption, work flow changes, business testing and business training. The Specialist – Pharmacy Systems works closely with key stakeholders like SCM, SDS, Finance and IMT counterpart to ensure complete engagement and streamlined communication is maintained through-out.

The role requires a very strong data analysis and technical skillset to review formulary, inventory and transactional data. The role will manage and develop data toolsets to report on data currency and accuracy between all systems of record providing management reports and resolving technical issues with Pharmacy related data.

Qualifications (Essential requirements) :

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized college of pharmacy.
  • 5+ years of full-time hospital pharmacy experience with Supply Chain systems including.
  • Experience with EMR integration to ERP supply chain implementation.
  • Oracle certification in Supply Chain.
