Caravane Earth is looking to hire an experienced Head of the Creative Unit to lead a team of thinkers and doers, the right individual will bring a mix of marketing expertise and business understanding to the position, promoting our company and that of our valued clients., someone that can inspire others, taking our creativity to a new level as we continue to grow. The ideal candidate will have a natural eye for design and a drive to inspire dynamic ideas that connect with all types of audiences.
Objectives of this Role
Build, lead, and review the work of the creative team in the production of all web, print, and digital marketing collateral
Spearhead and manage content strategy for both small and large-scale projects, harnessing strategy, digital and brand design, compelling content, and technology
Collaborate with the marketing and sales departments in developing marketing plans, analyzing results, and identifying opportunities
Develop internal marketing campaigns that translate marketing objectives across business units into clear and motivating creative strategies
Analyze brand tracking, market trends, consumer need, and the competitive landscape
Meet budget standards by forecasting and managing expenses
Create engaging designs for customers and stakeholders.
Management responsibility for the creative unit’s process and people.
Provides support to the business units, communication team, and marketing team, which affects the visibility of the organization’s materials, products, and market positioning.
Manage and plan design projects.
Establish the creative direction and branding guidelines for the organization.
Serve as the lead designer for graphics and advertising projects as needed.
Develop an understanding of marketing initiatives, strategic positioning, and target audiences
Design digital marketing materials such as emails, templates, interactive interfaces, website designs, social media, presentations, and web banners.
Deliver high-quality and original artwork following the organization’s guidelines.
Organizes all pre-production meetings for projects, including photoshoots, video editing, broadcast, and fulfillment.
Ensure that the organization’s teams and partners are using visual style guides.
Managing the creative team to develop visual content and assets for use in various media.
Oversee a cross-functional team of graphic designers, copywriters, social media experts, photographers/videographers, and project managers in the strategic development of messages and deliverables and manage deliverables on time.
Develop and execute a product-specific and packaging visual design plan from prototyping to production.
Maintaining a meaningful and accessible archive of all artworks produced on the server.
Prioritize work and resources across engagements based on short- and long-term needs, establishing production schedules by collaborating with designers, copywriters, and production departments
Conduct brainstorming sessions with creative team, maintaining strategic and creative thinking to develop innovative and actionable creative initiatives in a fiscally responsible manner
Review and approve art and copy developed by the team, ensuring deliverables that effectively address marketing goals and challenges
Produce fresh, innovative work that translates complex ideas into compelling print materials and digital experiences for visually sophisticated audiences
(Including Certifications and Training if required)
A bachelor’s degree in fine arts, graphic design, or a related field
A minimum of 5 years of experience in conceptual design
An illustration or graphic portfolio that demonstrates strong skills
Adobe suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, AutoCAD, and XD) proficient
Proven experience in developing and implementing a product-specific visual design plan at every stage of the product lifecycle – including interiors, covers, and packaging – while adhering to guidelines.
An experience working for a multinational organization creating designs and artwork for different markets.
Prior experience with copywriting, design, or production
Prior project management experience, with a focus on creative direction
Wide-ranging knowledge of the Qatar arts sector and the international context
(Knowledge. specific job skills, communication skills and behavioral attributes)
1. Creative conceptual design skills
2. English language proficiency is a must (Arabic will be an added advantage)
3. Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment is a must.
4. Must be able to proactively coordinate with other business units.
