The maintenance Manager is expected to manage the assigned projects without extra supervision. Reporting to General Manager and Country Operations Manager, you will be accountable for the overall safe, secure, efficient and cost-effective management of multiple teams. You will be expected to effectively lead teams to deliver superior results across all areas of their responsibility. You will use your management skills to develop a culture of trust and to cultivate the best by inspiring, challenging and promoting our workforce. Leading by example, you will promote and ensure the Health & Safety of all our team members. You will ensure all quantitative and qualitative measures are met including those related to accountability, reliability, labour utilization, and resource optimization. You will manage a team of Operations Managers, technicians, and other technical specialists in various facility management projects across the country.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing a team of diverse technical professionals in hard services.
  • Leading all maintenance processes and operations in all assigned projects.
  • Tracking expenses and overseeing the budget for maintenance activities in projects.
  • Maintaining all machinery to ensure it’s at working standards.
  • Creating and implementing maintenance procedures.
  • Conducting regular inspections of the facilities to detect and resolve problems.
  • Planning and managing all repair and installation activities.
  • Ensuring all department workers adhere to the safety policies and procedures.
  • Assigning repair schedules and evaluating repair cost estimates.
  • Documenting and preparing daily progress reports and maintenance logs.
  • Overseeing equipment stock and placing orders for new supplies when necessary.
  • Promote an operating culture to create exceptional value to the customers through quality and efficient service delivery.
  • Execute the strategic initiatives as required.
  • Team Development: Define required skills and capabilities for the team. Ensure timely execution of all required training.
  • Understand and achieve all required targets for safety, customer satisfaction, and financial and operating performance, KPIs.
  • Make sure all required materials and tools are available on all sites.
  • Establish great relationships with all internal stakeholders.
  • Customer: Ensure the clients’ value proposition is clearly understood by the onsite team and that the level of customer satisfaction is validated in the customer’s KPI’s.
  • Participate in tenders for hard services.


  • Bachelor of Engineering degree or above.
  • MUST have experience in facility management.
  • Excellent English communication.
  • Preferably with driving license.
  • Strong leadership qualities: Previous management experience required.
  • The ability to multi-task in a fast past environment while being detail-oriented.
  • Minimum 5 years related experience is required.
  • High level of responsibility and accountability for tasks.
  • Uses continuous improvement techniques to drive performance.
  • Detail oriented and the need to provide outputs with limited time schedules.
  • Must be well verse will all relevant regulations, statutory requirements and Health and Safety Regulations in Facility Management industry.
  • Ability to work under high pressure and tight work schedules.
  • Managerial skills – Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow.
  • Strong mentoring and coaching skills. Ability to train and develop subordinate’s skills.
  • Ability to foster teamwork among team members.
  • Sound theoretical and practical knowledge of all FM systems.
  • Preferred: experience in preparing tender documentation for technical / hard services related tenders.
  • Valid MMUP certification or ability to pass required test and to obtain this certification.
  • The position is based in Doha, Qatar with occasional travel in GCC region. You must be able to relocate to Qatar or be available in Qatar.
